Baraghin Ludmila: It was a real pleasure to see Liam rejoin PE team in Colchester. Liam has always been a tremendous asset to the team. Despite a busy time, Liam kelp his calm, was professional and communicated with all his guests to ensure everyone is having a good time. Always reassured and updated everyone when food will be served and making recommendations. Mela, the shift manager checked on is as well which proved professionalism and care for their guests. Thank you to Liam and the team.

Hannah Bushen: Liam was an absolute diamond, I would go as far as saying the best customer service I have ever received. Food was brilliant and Liam went out of his way to help save us some money which we massively appreciate.Food was absolutely lovely, our accommodations were dealt with with no trouble. All round great service and atmosphere.However, we were the last table in the restaurant at around 10pm, and another lady working was incredibly rude, kept coming over to the table to feel as though we were not welcome while also making Liam do all of her work while she ordered her own pizza and was messing around with other colleagues.Made sure to give our tip to Liam only as the other waitress there did not deserve the wage she was already being paid, yet alone any extra.

Adam Brett: To anyone that is wanting to order a pizza delivery from Pizza Express, I strongly advice you don't. Tonight I spent £20 on a Pizza take out from Uber Eats, it arrived stone cold, I asked the driver to return it back, his exact words were its not his problems its Pizza Express. I've tried calling multiple times but no answer, an hour has passed since my pizza was delivered and I've decided to throw in the bin. What a waste of money, terrible service and bang average pizza. Spend your money else where!

Duncan Cooper: It's a pizza hut. So you know exactly what you are going to get. Lunch buffet is a cheap lunch out, popular with kids and families as you would expect. Staff are great, cheerful and smiling, really makes a difference and make it a great place. Free parking is also handy and you can park right by the restaurant. Only Downside is getting into and out of the shopping area can be a proper nightmare at busy times due to the bonkers design by local idiots/council, so be prepared to queue a while.

S G (Rock on): Virtually empty when we arrived. Asked for drinks while we ordered but we were told we had to order drinks using an app along with ordering our food. I was not impressed by such institutionalised poor service. What if I came without a phone? What if I had poor eyesight?Next disappointment was the food options which were scant and had none of the choices of starters or pizzas the family most prefer. We all agreed to leave and go somewhere else. Definitely do not recommend. The staff were just hanging about leaving the scant number of customers to do most of their job for them.

We've been sharing one for several weeks now & get ours freshly cooked at The Prettygate whilst we enjoy a drink or two. Great service, great flavours & those unmistakable crispy edges with a delightful cheesy fluffy centre. Perfect pizza packed with toppings but without stodge, what more could you ask for? Yummy!!

We nearly had the whole pot of it! Waiter told us it was homemade! The pizzas were amazing and so was the dessert. On entering, I was welcomed by the most pleasant waiters I have ever met with lovely Italian songs playing in the background, the interior is nicely decorated with rare exotic pieces and a pleasant aroma, and the temperature was warm despite the harsh cold outside making it cozy and homely, it is an amazing spot for a romantic candle dinner. On Saturdays, they have a saxophonist play all through the evening. Meals are very tasty and it is worth every penny spent. You can have your birthday party, child christening, and even a wedding reception as the ground floor can seat about 45 to 60 people. It is the best Italian restaurant in Colchester and its environs, a visit will convince you.Vegetarian options: They have some vegetarian meals in their menu.Kid-friendliness: Alpacino restaurant is kids friendly, they will provide a high chair for toddlers so they can dine with the rest of the family. They have a kid's menu, and the kid's meal is served with a free drink, orange juice or apple juice or fruit shoot.Wheelchair accessibility: They have wheelchair accessibility, entrance, and a toilet downstairs to support people with disability, this toilet also doubles as a changing room for babies

Paul Loft: Very disappointed to be having to leave a less than perfect rating.Having been here in early December during a trip back to Colchester from home in Spain, we were looking forward to coming again.A table for 7 people was booked for 7pm, as a couple of the group can't eat too late in the evening.The waiter was superb, as he was when we visited in December. Friendly, bubbly, chatty and very helpful. Great lad, our thanks to him.However, he was let down by the kitchen and their timing.We only had two courses, but having sat down just after 7pm, we finally got to pay the bill at 9.45pm.There was a long wait for starters, and then a huge wait for the main courses.All evening there was a constant flow of Deliveroo riders, and we were left wondering whether the kitchen was so busy getting the delivery orders ready that the folk dining in were lower priority and left to wait.Certainly there is an issue with food preparation time, and while I appreciate that not everyone wants to be in and out quickly, nearly 3 hours for two courses was excessive.Maybe we should have stayed at home and ordered a delivery?We won't be back on our next trip back to the UK I'm afraid 😔

Lucas Reid: If you’re expecting “authentic” italian pizza this is not the place, but for what it is (unhealthy hearty takeaway goodness) it absolutely exceeds. The pizza is cooked perfectly and the cheese has just the right amount of melt, and the dough is a delicious mix of slightly soft but still firm enough to hold the toppings. The garlic stuffed crust is absolutely amazing, and this pizza won’t leave you feeling weighed down with grease but still satisfy that deliciously unhealthy taste you crave in takeaways. Also, the cheesy chip portion is MASSIVE. Definitely advise only getting one for more than one person. I absolutely recommend HOT PIZZA 4 U and it is undoubtedly worth the money.

David P: Be warned - if there is a special offer on Pizzas e.g. Half price - expect to receive Pizza's with half the amount of sauce, cheese and toppings! I've ordered several times at full price and the pizzas have been spot on yet whenever I order during a Promotional campaign, they are dreadful. Only half the amount of sauce as usual and this meant about 3 inches of dry crust, barely and cheese and half the amount of pepperoni. Bland, dry and tasteless on this occasion.
Jana Meyer: Waited over 2 ½ hours for pizza delivery… everytime we call from 1 hour onwards had a different story.. no one knew whats going on with the order or delivery or even what the order is! Called after 2 ½ hours to ask for refund and manager was very reluctant.
Maxwell Goody: Terrible experience last night. Called the other Dominos in Colchester and was transferred to this one, the man took the order well and said delivery will be 25-30 minutes. However, phoned them back 40 minutes later and they said it would be another 20minutes. I spoke to the manager and was very rude when i questioned why, said of course it would be delivered in 30minutes and the guy that took the order is new and didnt know! I questioned the why he didnt know and whether he was trained and i was told i dont understand. Anyway, then after ensuring they got the delivery address changed from the normal address they delivered it to the wrong place still which meant I had to go out and meet them in the car to save time, by this time well over 1hr since point of order with no apology! Left feeling very sore due to the rude talk to a customer, quite unbelievable!

Lance Clark: Stopped ordering from here, as the pizza's are always "luke warm nearly cold" and are DRY, stiff like cardboard alot of the time, like they are giving out old pizza's, as they ain't even got any grease on them like they used Too! And they are tasteless nowdays! And when you spending good money to just receive DRY STIFF CARDBOARD ISNT GOOD ENOUGH. They are NEVER FRESH, HOT and Soft anymore... I miss getting proper fresh banging pizza. They need to stop giving out tons of orders with one driver, as the last orders to get delivered ain't going to be fresh like the first orders! I used to be a regular customer, untill they kept giving out S.H.I.T food! and they don't even put much cheese on their pizza's anymore either or hardly any sauce on the bases like they used too. They need to hire new staff that can be bothered to make good pizza like they used too. DOMINO'S in Colchester used to be really GOOD and now they ain't good at all! It's shocking especially now they charge for delivery as well, but only to receive luke warm pizza that goes cold after 2 minutes of the box being open.

Russell White: Overall experience was third world. Old crumbs and dirt on seats, tables and floor, no soap in the toilets, no cutlery apart from plastic spoons, staff service non existent. With store hygiene this bad, I wouldn't trust the food again.

Tried 6 times, clearly ignoring the calls as no answer then just goes through to 'we can't connect the call right now' not even a pizza hut voicemail! Finally the food arrived at 8:45 with apologies from the delivery driver - not his fault. Food was cold. Had to reheat as again we could not get through to the store to inform. Shame as we ordered food last Saturday from the same store and it was great!

kida simms: Ordered two pizzas and a tub of icecream here as an end of week treat. Driver (late teens/early 20s, curly hair, glasses) arrived late and was rude, with one pizza crushed and smushed up to one side in the box. Garlic dust was applied very sparingly on both pizzas and they were kinda bland but enjoyable enough. However, the icecream was missing (driver told us "i dont know call the restaurant") and after 7 calls i managed to get through to them. The person i spoke to there was lovely and apologised profusely for the mistake, offering a bottle of pepsi free for the inconvenience. Same driver arrived, handed over the icecream, told my husband the "pepsi was in the car", then got back in his car and drove away. Overall super disappointed, driver really let the whole situation down.
I m: Assisted a disabled person tonight to use the toilets and order a take away however we asked the server if we could use the toilets as I found they were locked @825pm at night and the close at 11, we have left to go else where thankfully only 5 minutes up the road but surely this is discrimination against a disabled person with a card to say she has to use toilets under her medical conditions and yet the restaurant had 3 members of staff working and couldn’t be bothered to work it seems, will be phoning head office tomorrow and the local council to report this, surely this wasn’t inspected correctly and food hygiene needs to have a word or take it off there ratings.
alideniz koc: The guys inside are literally there for the banter of things. The food tasted VERY bland with the garlic crust being spread VERY unevenly. A few times when I’ve gone to order, some of the guys inside genuinely seemed high. Overall, not worth the money when there is a dominoes right across the river with better quality and the same pricing.
Extraordinary Demon: Pizzas taste fine, and the hot cookies they serve are quite nice. However, since we are in the midst of a pandemic, I would have expected more face masks worn by the staff whilst preparing food.
