Inevitably, prices have gone up a bit since before the lockdown but so has everything else! Will be trying it again, hopefully before not too long.

The Hythe Pharmacy: what do users think?
Aletia Pieris: Staff pleasant friendly and efficient. Have only used pharmacies in Northampton and boots in colchester and I didn't realise they could be like Hythe. You should operate a training programme for others! Fantastic service and fast!!
Marta Kalisiewicz: Great staff, always happy to help with any questions and will go out of their way to help you
Mohammad Ali Al-tamimi: I can’t thank them enough. Very professional service for our beloved area.
Stephanie Curtis: i visited here to go collect a parcel from the post office and the lady serving me couldn’t of done anymore when i had to explain parcelforce didn’t leave a card. had a look around the pharmacy and it was prefect for the size of it, it had a bit of everything that you would need.
Rebecca Oldfield: I was advised to go to this chemist after having many issue with my local one. I was told that they are really amazing and reliable. They're good if you go in there to collect but so far pretty much all of my deliveries have not come. It's not just the elderly that have problems getting out (as was insinuated by a couple of the staff). I have neurological disease, much like MS, which affects my legs and other parts of my body and a genetic connective tissue disorder called Ehler Danlos Syndrome, which affects every tissue through my body, causing extensive problems also. So far I've had to spend a fortune on taxis to go there and back and I was left without medication since before Xmas with more problems. I've been too unwell and too unsteady to even get a taxi. Given some of the comments I've had I think the pharmacy needs to vastly educate their staff around such things. Pretty disgusting really!! If they weren't so good when going in, due to the lack of queues I'd have given just one star! I've now got to go through changing chemist again!
Leonard Harman: Hopefully I've found a pharmacy that's easily accessible and without waiting a long time to get served. Nice friendly faces too.
Paul Bostock: Been there loads of times and found it to be very good, and the staff very friendly and know what they are doing.
Terry Whiye: An absolute joke of a chemist turned up after 12 waited 1/2 hour told to come back at 4 turned up at 4 waited 1/2 hour to be told all here except 1 item it will be another 1/2 hour an absolute disgrace
Donna Henderson: Nothing is too much trouble for the great team that work at the Hythe Pharmacy. Friendly and professional always happy to offer good advice saving trips to the Doctors surgery many times for my family.
Elizabeth Thomas: A fantastic pharmacy ! 100%I moved to the area in March 2020 & I have had nothing but 100% customer service, even through the trying times of COVID the team have been fantastic & dealt with it all so well - I commend them all on coping with an awful pandemic so blooming fantastically !The staff Kate, Arinze, Lucy, Connor, Hannah, Hannah & Amy are all so professional & efficient whilst so cheerful, helpful, friendly, genuine & nothing is ever too much. They always greet you with a smile & a warm hello & often we have a laugh too which is lovely. When you feel rubbish it really does help & just makes your day that little bit better & they probably do not realise just how much it means & the positive affect it has on someone's day.I have needed to ask general advice & also about medications from the pharmacist Arinze & he has always been so friendly, helpful, professional, knowledgeable & only too happy to help. Nice to have faith & trust in the advice you get.I have ever had an issue getting any of my prescriptions filled or the items & if they have not got them they always have them the following day !I have purchased numerous items in the Pharmacy, always well stocked & the prices are good for the items on offer.I have had to use the Post Office & again nothing but fantastic service !So all in all you couldn't ask for better service & a better team ! Keep it up!I wish all Pharmacies could be this excellent ! :-)
Jorge Valladares Cárdenas: Very attentive personnel, and you can also find a post office
Dave Youngs: Excellent service, always friendly, efficient and helpful
Elle: A wonderful pharmacy and the best post office with kind, friendly and super helpful, efficient staff!
Em: Well run, friendly pharmacy with the addition of a post office inside.
Jackie Pryke: We would like to take this opportunity to express our gratitude to The Hythe Pharmacy for sponsoring our local grassroot football team. Its been an extremely difficult year for everyone and your generosity is really appreciated. The full match kit and training kit has ensure the team look smart every week playing the sport they love.
Alex Kemp: The staff at The Hythe Pharmacy are very helpful. Prescriptions are managed quickly, and you are able to do two jobs in one with the post office being inside. They also provide a reminder card service for those who have repeat prescriptions so it is easier to remember to pick up.
Chudy Nwajagu: Not readily accessible if you don't have your own car. Small and compact. Same space houses the postal service. I guess it serves its purpose though.
Andrew Bez: Not the first time when they were not willing to provide the brand of pills stated on the prescription. As well as said it is too expensive for them to provide the specified medication. One of the worst pharmacies I have ever been to.Different brands use different add ons in the medication that can cause or eliminate the unwanted side effects.
Keyah: Everyone in there is lovely and super helpful. The shop is quite small, but I'd mostly go in for the sake of the post office anyways.
Stefan Nicholson: Excellent customer service.. well recommended
Lorraine Meighan: Brilliant staff. Friendly helpful service always

ASDA Pharmacy: what do users think?
Sophie: Truly terrible. I feel for the staff who are generally kind and helpful, but they clearly need more hands. A typical experience is phoning 50+ times trying to get through to see if your prescription is available, giving up and having to go in-person after failing to get through on the phone, queueing 20 minutes to be told there is (at least) a half-hour wait for your prescription to be prepared, then another 20 minute queue to actually collect. A thoroughly depressing experience, and the worst pharmacy I have used. Clearly managed & run extremely poorly.
Esther Naranjo: Really rude staff. Won't be coming here again.
Simon Huggett: Totally inept. Need to learn about Customer Service and logistics. The manager is so poor. Simply tells people to stop shouting at him when they question the service. This infuriates the customer even more and he then refuses to serve them and tells them to take their prescription elsewhere. Guess what?
Rajib Ahmed: They provide worst service possible. You need to wait long.Once you need to que up to give them prescription or tell them you’re there for medicine. Then you need to wait 20/30 minutes. If you decide to utilize that 20/30 minutes waiting time and go for shopping then when you will be back to pharmacy then you need to que up again.I'm using it because my gp sent them all of my prescriptions. As soon as they will be done with my all prescriptions I'll move to another pharmacy. Also I got doubt that their phone is working or not.
chris everett: Really poor and under staffed. 40 minutes wait for a cream. It wasn’t even busy. Shocking!
Marie Brown: I take ferrous sulphate and they had no boxes of 60, priced at £3.05. They had boxes of 100 but priced at £11! How is this even allowed?!
Zaman Sheikh: The most unorganised pharmacy I have come across and I’ve lived all over the UK. They cannot say it is due to staff or being busy, because I’ve been to pharmacies that are busier with less staff and they will at least answer the phone…..
Dil Singh: Awful and abrupt staff, especially the small Indian lady. She has no manners. We are paying customer, she needs to learn respect. She talks down at people which was noticeable in the queue. They know after work hours it's going to be extremely busy, employ some more staff to eradicate your own frustration against others!! Seriously be humble lady!
Mahmuda Tamanna: Very bad practice and calling no answer.
Louise Martin: Colchester branch. If I could leave no stars I would ! We pick my partner's medication up every Tuesday at the same time (after I finish work) and EVERY week it is not ready "need to get the pharmacist to sign off on it" WHY is that when we go on a weekly basis ? Yesterday the Dr prescribed antibiotics and we were told they needed ordering, which is fair enough, today we went to collect and what a surprise it still wasn't ready ! 😡 and to top the whole experience off people after us in the LONG queue got their meds straight away, even a young lady with a paper prescription she handed in got it in no time (lucky her) totally fed up with lack of customer care and empathy, we have to get his pills weekly for a reason which they clearly know by the meds he takes. Angry but also so upset 😞
Jack Kenward: i have the unfotunate ordeal of visiting this soul draining factory once a week. managment seems to be either blind or incompetent to recognise they are hugely under staffed. Even when the place is empty there is some how a minimum of 20 minutes wait time. staff seem to think that a printed sign on the unneeded covid screen makes this acceptable. in the last 6 months it has slipt into a customer service level of unbearable. Do not go here. hell on earth. circus
Lorraine Kelly: Brilliant service I always call ahead to let them know I'm on my way and when I do this my medication is always ready when I get there.
Rachael Henderson: Always pleasent and helpful staff here, despite being very busy and having to deal with very rude and impatient customers, as I witnessed!
Richard Main: Massive queues at all times of day and night. Always get there in the end but also always “very busy at the moment”. Avoid if at all possible.
Patricia Lloyd: I don't normally do reviews but I have found the staff very helpful. My medication is not easy to do as it changes from time to time. The staff have always been kind especially Michelle. The down side for me is its constantly bizzy so you have two que and being in constant pain feels like a life time waiting. Patricia Faulkner
nigel myers: Off the scale poor customer service. Was effectively shouted at saying they were too busy to issue the medication which they had in stock. This was after a stressful day in A and E with a heart condition. So rude, uncaring and failing to deliver the service they are contracted to deliver. If Pharmacies can be struck off this one qualifies.
Y: Poor service, tried to call 10 times, in between 2 hours no one answered. If under-staffed, why not hiring an extra dispenser who works only for a minimum wage to answer phone calls?
Brian ODonnell: Terrible. There are never enough staff on to cope with demand. I feel sorry for them.
David Carley: Local and convenient. Friendly and helpful service. A lady who works there, can't remember her name. She is really nice and always helped me and my partner sort out medication out.Well done.
Eve Garnham: This pharmacy has very poor service for housebound patientsMy mother always has issues with them when she puts an electronic prescription throughWe have to make numerous calls to them to find out what has happened as the medications have not been delivered on many occasions and there has been delays in getting itWhen my mother does eventually receive her medications there are always some missing even the most common over the counter painkillers !!We are looking to change to a more reliable pharmacy serviceas Asda Pharmacy are very poor and the staff do not seem to communicatewith each other.
