Ollie Hatton: Can't recommend them enough, very knowledgeable and with customer service that is unparalleled. I bought a SUP from them over a year ago, at the time they inflated the one I wanted so I could see it, and when I went back to buy life jackets the recognised me and gave me a good price on the jackets. However it was recently I was blown away. My pump had an O-ring fail and I called them to see if they had a spare for when I got back from holiday and they overnighted me a replacement O-ring free of charge to the Lake District! And that was over a year after I bought my board! Unheard of in this day and age.

Adam Groom: Very poor customer service, purchased a bike for my little girls birthday, the following day.Got home and went to build it that evening only to open the box and realise they had given me the wrong bike!How!?I literally had her sat on the bike in the shop and asked for that one? Surely it’s not that hard!Came back to the store the next day (her birthday)Explain the situation and their mistake and all I get is a measly apology oh and I have to pay an extra £30 for the girls bike.How about waiver the £30 as a good will gesture?Absolutely rubbish!

Once u paid for heavy expensive items they abandon you and leave you struggling to your car. Really rotten lot of grumpy staff. A smile, warmth and care costs nothing guys! Only one semi friendly girl at the till. I was told also that once I open a box it's non refunded. .Never heard of the likes. Avoid Avoid Avoid. Go Argos their refund policy is second to none. Go Halford just don't go hereOnce you open a box products are non refundable how can you check a product if you can't open a box.Avoid at all costs rotten store. No wonder it was an empty shop. We don't need this Store or the likes of this , be off with you!
Holly Tillier: I visited here on the weekend (Colchester store) having no idea what I needed, Cerise in particular came free so we decided to bombard her with questions and she was absolutely brilliant! I can’t fault her service and her knowledge was on point. She was so friendly and happy to help and show us how things worked. She deserves some credit, as retail is not an easy job. Thank you very much for all your help, we certainly will be back.
JAM: Was approached by a member of staff who I assumed is security as he was lingering around the door. Whilst standing on one of the isles deciding what to buy as a present he comes over to me telling me I couldn't hold my drink in store and would need to put it away (I had no bag). He told me I wasn't allowed to hold it because I could spill it, and would need to leave until it was finished. I told him i'm not drinking it, its pretty much empty so why is it a problem to hold the drink and browse? It was a can of Monster energy so it's not like I could put a lid on it and put it in my pocket. He told me to leave the store and ushered me out.It's not a problem having policies surrounding food and drink and its not unreasonable to ask customers not to eat or drink in store but to remove someone from a store for not having a place to store a drink that they opened before entering and that they were not drinking inside of the shop is ridiculous. Im a grown man in my late 20's, Im not a child running around the store causing a nuisance. I can competently hold a can and browse at the same time.I was basically removed from the shop for holding a personal item.This really irritated me and I didn't want to go in and purchase anything but due to the fact I had to buy a birthday present from there I had no other option.The staff member was rude and confrontational and I believe he needs to be retrained on how to approach customers.I usually never write reviews as I work in customer service and realise that customers can be a lot at times but he seriously mishandled the entire scenario.

Did not appreciate being told off for holding my vape. I assume all members of public are accosted for having cigarettes during their visit? Train staff how to deal with the public.

Chrissy Kerssen: We visited during weekday hours. The store was not busy at all… the radio was very loud and felt a bit out of place. The amount of stock was huge! So much lego etc etc. lacking a bit on playmobil which is what we went for. Reasonable prices, quick service when paying, polite staff members who were kind also. My child had a great time here, highly recommend a visit, has stock to suit all age ranges as well as some furniture and car seats, pushchairs etc

Alistair West: Ok where to start, I love how Argos works u know what u want, u go in andd buy then leave its awesome, i had a horrible experience in Currys next door or as it used to be called PC World, they just pester you and cant answer the questions any way when its too technical, but the fact that Currys push the insurance so hard is infuriating.But back to Argos the only reason i dropped the star to not having 5 stars is the review process, I left a review and because it wasn't within their guidelines it wasn't admitted, so here i am ranting via Google.My experience with Argos has been brilliant and other than the review system i would fully suggest useing the shop to anyone and tell everyone to avoid the review system and opt for the google method.

Robs Reviews: A bit of a shadow of it's former glory but it's still a great store nonetheless. It's nice to actually see an Argos shop and not a tiny stand inside a Sainsburys. They are usually quite well stocked and it's not usually a long wait. The staff are always polite and courteous and remain professional even even dealing with the odd difficult customer.The EE stand inside is a let down as they're usually sat down checking their socials....
Steve Doubleday: Had to wait a bit to get served on click and collect. The poor guy in front hadn't signed his bank card and was getting quite a dressing down by the women on the till. She wasn't very friendly when it came to me either. No chit chat and when I said I didn't want to take out a guarantee she slamed the product down and walked off. I didn't get her name but it said Manager on her badge. No hope for staff if the management arnt customer focused. 🙄

dave deacon: Not as organised as other branches, normally when I do a click and collect order, the order has been picked, and I just have to wait a minute or so. This time one item was handed over with in a minute, I had to wait 4or 5 minutes to be brought down from upstairs. The order was placed the previous day and was collected 4 hours after the store opened. Not a case of them being caught of guard. There were at least four members of staff on duty, and it was not busy.

The girl behind the till was quite clear where she could get the information from and the woman wasnt having it.Quite stroppy I thought shame on her for not reading it.Any way I was served super fast no issues brilliant. Bilal Tahir: Bought £150 headphones on Saturday that are faulty and reported to customer services and took it to store with in 48hours of purchase.The store Manager Will didn’t even plug this in to find out this electronic item is faulty or not and declined the refund or exchange.Do not purchase electronic items from store and order online and get it delivered or don’t use Argos. Because if the item is faulty they won’t help you.
