Janet Tomlinson: I found Kaspa's rather expensive and also wasn't impressed with the meal I had. Some portions were way too big and others rather small. I do not think I will be visiting here again.
Max: The food quality is usually good, however the tables are often sticky and the toilets haven’t been clean a single time we’ve been here. Overall it’s okay, it’s what you’d expect from this style of restaurant and it’s the same as every other Kaspas.
Jules: Stupidly expensive for what you get and then a jobsworth manageress refusing to believe it was my 80 year old MIL birthday. Despite 10 people coming from all over the county and are armed with presents and cards.. They said we need proof such as the driving licence or passport (she has neither!) as it could have been her birthday yesterday or the day before. Absolutely disgusted by this.. Can't believe they wouldn't put a candle on a slice of cake. 1st and last time here.

Davor Radic: If you have a sweet tooth, you can't miss if you go to Kaspa's! They have sugar in all kind of shapes. Ambient was nice, staff was nice, music that was playing was good. I recommend this for sure..Only negative thing is that from 3 toilets.. 2 are broken..

aylisha salha-bowles: i came here earlier today with my friend who has an assistance dog and i was disgraced to hear that assistant dogs weren’t allowed in here. Our assistant dog was absolutely no worries, and behaved well however the manager was not happy about it. we were spoken too rudely by a member of staff after we were seated and yet again when we were served. overall i am disgraced in my visit today
andie phillips: Not a great experience,visited with a party of 8 excited children for a birthday treat, the restaurant was not busy , we were greeted well and showed to are seats , the order was taken ,excitement has started to build as all 8 girls look on towards the preparation counter, now this is when things went down hill, no service for 20 minutes , should of ordered with deliver roo to table 18 may have been quicker, ice-cream Sunday's arrived thankfully before actual Sunday, the 4 other children looked on with anticipation and hunger ,there pancakes unfortunately didn't arrive, another 20 minutes passed and they still hadn't appeared, resulting in 2 of the party feeling stuffed and sick though over indolence on high sugared desert and 4, including the birthday girl feeling sick with hunger ,this is now a memory eched in are heads of a very disappointed 13 year old girl, that I'm sure i will always be reminded of for birthday to come (it's your fault dad echoes around my head ), on approaching the counter the waiter seem unaware of the other dishes, they come from different station was the excuse given ,doesn't seem to be too much to ask for all the dishes to arrive once says I, don't be so aggressive says he , 10 minutes later 4 pancakes arrived wished they hadn't totally uneatable,Now sitting in McDonald's with mc flurries to console the birthday girl 👧

Lisa Lee: Favoloso it was!!! A party of 14 of us decided to try this little jewel hidden in the middle of Colchester last Saturday evening and we were not disappointed. Being a large party we had pre-ordered our food which was served up hot, tasty and very well presented. All the waiters/waitresses worked very hard all night and were very polite and helpful. The Chef came out to chat to all her customers to see if we enjoyed the food to which I thought was a lovely touch. It was nice to see a restaurant doing really well. This is a must try!!

Katrina: Wow, this place is absolutely excellent! The service was a little slow, but it seemed some of the staff were new, and it was a busy Saturday night so this can be forgiven. The range of fish specials was great, alongside traditional pizza/pasta, and the lobster & scallops dish I had was better than those I’ve enjoyed in high end restaurants - at a more reasonable cost too! Highly recommended, a hidden gem.

Em-Elle Kay Gee: I'm very surprised at all the excellent reviews which makes me think perhaps we went on a bad day.My husband booked this restaurant for our anniversary and we were looking forward to trying somewhere different. From the outside, the restaurant looks run down but the inside was much nicer. We were surprised to see that it was virtually empty at 7.30 on a Saturday evening but the staff sat us right next to a large table. As the tables were cramped together, it was difficult to get out to use the bathroom. The waitresses looked bored and didn't smile once in the whole time we were there. The starters were OK, nothing spectacular I ordered the seafood risotto which tastes like rice, tinned tomatoes and seafood. Not very exciting at all. My husband ordered a rare steak which was overcooked. The whole meal, including paying the bill took 45 minutes as there was no time to pause between courses, as soon as our cutlery was down, the next course arrived. The bill came to over £100 which we thought was steep given the good was OK at best and the staff were not particularly attentive. Overall, a disappointing evening and will not be returning again.

Daniel Simmonds: Ordered from here for a ‘cake of the day’ on just eat .It states the cake of the day on there and in this case it was carrot cake so I ordered two .Went and picked them up and they was two completely different cakes. When I rang she said that when they do cake of the day they can choose . Took 5 mins and two calls for an apology .She told me I’d have to come back and bring the cakes with me as well as order a ‘small priced’ item just so I could get the cake I ordered .I’m presuming she would’ve sold the cakes not knowing what I’d done with them .

Milagrosz Sved: Love the place, go there regularly however the young man who started working there recently is incompetent. Took him a good 2/3 minutes to realise I was in the shop as he was on his phone under the counter. Didn’t seal the bubble tea properly which made it leak in my bag and by the time I got home most of the drink was gone and took my paperwork with it!I will say I love the place and have absolutely no issue with it! However, I recommend keeping an eye on the employees.

Julie Seal: Ordered via Colchester Eats at around 5:15pm, delivery due at 6:20pm. By 7pm the order was still not here so tried 2 numbers for over 40 mins before someone answered & said the order was on the way, had left the store & the delivery drivers weren’t direct employees so had no control over how long they took, but would be with us soon!! I was told to text the mobile number with any problems. 3 texts later, it’s now 8:50pm & we’ve given up hope of its arrival & no response to my message requesting a refund!! It’s a real shame as this is the 2nd time we ordered & had no issues 1st time round & the desserts were really good, am sorry to say but won’t be ordering again.

My fiancé and I visited last week and we left in shock with how rude the staff were to their customers and especially to the delivery drivers who were going into the store to pick up orders during busy periods.We won’t be returning to an establishment where staff look down on others, disappointing to say the least.

Waited over 2 hours for my order, and when it did finally arrive, the order was wrong. Rang the restaurant, asking where my order was, no answer to that question. They just told me to claim a refund via Deliveroo. Waste of time and money.
Andy Hurst: Ordered a cheeky dessert take away for the family, took nearly an hour to arrive and when it did they swapped an item, without contacting us to choose an alternative, for something else which was rough, also forgot one item completely and obviously out of stock for plastic lids as the sauce was wrapped in foil and spilt everywhere. Alternative was to drive all the way there to get something else which defeats the object of a delivery service. Don’t think we will be using them again…. Very disappointed
George Kenney: After a just-eat driver let us down, management at Tub and Cone really made up for it with some of the best customer services I have experienced. 9:30pm on Mother’s Day and we thought we were going to be left without our order. One simple phone call and the manager had agreed to cook us a fresh batch of food at no extra cost, and even threw some goodies in for good measure.Food was incredible, portion sizes are generous and all the staff are pleasant! We will definitely eat here again over local alternatives such as Caspers or Heavenly Deserts!

Georgina Hartley: Unfortunately after paying our deposit over a month in advance to supply an evening of ice cream to 100 guests at our wedding. They were a NO SHOW.We waited a good half an hour before calling as gave them the benefit of the doubt to then be met with a voicemail for the rest of the evening and the next morning.(It's always nice to feel as though you have been scammed on your wedding day!) - Eventually the company have been in touch and apologised and given our deposit back- so it could have been worse. (However- no excuse, everything has been in writing and confirmed by their side).I would however like to ask that the company look more into better communication with their clients and double check dates and times of bookings, to avoid disappointing a whole host of people on what was one of the hottest days of the years.Very disappointed, terrible communication (throughout). Would not recommend and would advise avoiding this company.

Chloe Jane: Similar to other reviews, there was pretty poor service unfortunately. Waited 25 minutes on a Tuesday evening to have our order taken - ended up leaving as we got tired of waiting. Two tables that walked in after us had their order taken and were served whilst we patiently waited. The waiter was clearly overwhelmed but we were completely ignored (despite politely trying to get their attention). Not sure if understaffed or poorly managed, but won't be returning for a while. If this was the service on a weekday, I would recommend avoiding at the weekend.

Starting with the staff, everyone was hospitable & friendly. The vibe was perfectly complementary to the very palatable rose and raspberry cheesecake to go with a perfect hot heavenly. Not only did the dish look tempting, every bite was delectable and wholesome. Special thanks to Mr Singh's suggestion, I would love to bring everyone I know here for dessert and would highly recommend it to everyone.
Gaurav Khurana: Found this place by chance while walking down high street today. I was craving something sweet and classy and heavenly dessert has far exceeded my expectations. The menu wasn't as pricey as I thought it would be & the ambience was nice. The service was fast, warm & welcoming & Mr Singh suggested a ruby's raspberry croffle which was luscious & packed with the exact balance of flavors that made it an absolute perfection. I'd recommend this place to everyone. Once again a special thanks to Mr. Singh for his recommendation.

Ella Frost: Really disappointing. Waffles definitely didn't taste fresh, more like store bought ones poorly reheated. The cake we ordered was hard, like it has been sitting for 5 or so days and I don't just mean the sponge. The cream made a thud when I hit it with the fork, it looked more like the consistency of cheese. 4 regrettable bites in I decided the calories weren't worth it for the taste. The girl offering service when we collected was not very good at taking instructions from her manager. I can only assume she was training. After being asked to actually serve me she announced that "she will serve you" referring to the manager outside despite her being asked to do it. Then the manager returned back in the sales girl looked panicked and scurried off. The two guys in there being served at the time were not having an easy experience with her either, and must have repeated what they wanted no less than 3 times with her constantly suggesting they look at the menu. Despite him repeatedly announcing exactly what he wanted. Overall, not a good experience and we will not return.

Charlie Davison: I tried to use this shop as an Ebay 'Click and Collect' point. I got a text from Ebay to say the parcel had been delivered and the text had a code number. I took this text with its code into the shop along with photo ID (a UK Driving Licence) and showed both. But the shop insisted that only an Ebay EMAIL (not a text) with a visual barcode (not a written code) was acceptable. So, even though they were holding the parcel (clearly addressed to me) in their hands and could see my confirmation text and my photo ID they would not hand it over to me (the rightful owner!). As an older customer I felt bullied and humiliated. I would recommend against using this unfriendly shop - it was a very unpleasant experience. And I still don't have my Ebay parcel!

Adrian Bond: We stopped off at this store on the way out of Colchester Castle and my son (10) wanted an ice cream. He liked the ice cream, but they charged me £1.49 for an ice cream advertised as 99p. The seller made some excuse that they only had large cones, but we neither asked for a large, the cone wasn’t large nor the ‘luxury’ cone advertised as £1.49 on 15foot posters on the side of the store. The guy then walked off (the sale was through the hatch).Not to upset my son I didn’t go into the store, I took a photo for proof and will report it to Citizens Advice (who refer to Trading Standards). It’s only 50p, but if he’s fleecing tourists like this, what a great impression he’s giving visitors?
Mangesh Dev: what a lovely local shop offers news, Tobaco, soft drinks, lottery, ATM Free to use, confectionery, and Flowers with great customer service and early helping locals and many tourist from around the world. Highly recommended to everyone.

Rajen Mistry: This really is a great stall, the crépes are made fresh and in front of you and you watch it in the making! i had nutella, banana and nuts to which i though was well worth the price.on a warm day this is actually really nice! its fluffy, not too sweet and crispy on the outside, adding nuts gives it extra dimension.i hope they do stay there because street food needs to make a comeback!BRING CASH! cards not yet accepted.
