Yummy: what do users think?
DANIEL MURGU: Yesterday I have ordered chef chowmenfor the first time, was first time and the last time to eat an absolutely horrible noodles I have in my intire life, teastless, very dried and so much sugar. I've bought prawns crakers for 2 £ and I've get literally no more then betwen 70-80 gr. If you have a minimum of knowledge about cinese cusin, stay away from this. No recommendation whatsoever!!!
Lorrie Gallier: Been ordering from here for years and usually all is ok (although often late). Tonight though we ordered within 10 minutes of opening and were told 1hr 20mins. Turned up after almost 2hrs and food was not hot. Not completely cold but had definitely been sat in the driver's car for ages. We had to put each plate we plated up in the microwave because it was only lukewarm. Also, I paid £6.30 for roast duck Chinese style and I got 8 tiny pieces of fatty duck on top of a ton of bean sprouts worth about 10p, I feel actually robbed. 2 pieces were just wrinkly fat, no meat on them. I'm really put off ordering from here again, its a midweek night not Saturday and this wasn't an acceptable service.
The Maltings: keep over leafleting our property without permission. Please stop we encourage our students not to tailgate nor to leaflet. This is private property.
J3NNYFER J: I ordered for the first time yesterday since moving down here and the food is lovely! It's not greasy, it's cooked well and tastes delicious. This is my go to from now on.
Shal Anderson: Took hour 10 minutes come didn’t have what wanted was dry rice and both had bad tummy pains etc for two days
Elizabeth James: Best take away I have had. Its deffo yummy.Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Mat G: I felt sick the next day! Won’t be ordering from here again!!
Deadpool: Tried this Chinese for the first time and it was amazing this is my new Chinese going forwards
deena sandhu: Asked for less spicy but food was too spicy, and over cooked. Unable to eat.
Eugenyus Ştefanos: Frumos
T “T E E”: my mouth is watering just typing this, hands down, best Chinese in the area😍
Monica Abatiese: if you haven’t tried food from here you’re missing out.
Manny Esteban: i love this place sm, the chicken balls taste like heaven and their spicy special fried rice is the perfect amount of spicy
mencía moreno: picking up from yummy is my favourite part of my week.amazing food and amazing customer service
lini manca: id eat here everyday if i could
tee lini: best Chinese in colchester.
Cecelia moreno: AMAZING FOOD😍😍😍
Tanto Cecelia Oduneye: the only place i get Chinese from when im in colchester. foods amazing and always hot.Kindest owners and amazing customer service.
Mary Babalola: Amazing amazing restaurant and atmosphere! All the staff were so kind, even giving discount and a FREE drink during these hard times! I honestly cannot describe my joyous encounter with everyone there- they had a smile on their faces and really showed their passion for cooking. The food- the food was great, one of the best Chinese takeaways I have been to around here. 100/10😃😃. I will be returning every time we order Chinese in Colchester just to profit this superb business!
Jordan Gilmour: I ordered food from here for the first time and will not be placing another order. The food tasted ok but I found metal in it.I was eating my food and swallowed something hard and it hurt as I swallowed. I then felt something in my mouth thinking it was a bit of my tooth but it ended up to be a peace of metal that was in my food. Just imagine if that was a child. I called up for the woman to laugh at me saying there was nothing she could do. I have not eaten the rest of the food. They wouldn't give me a new meal..So parents please be careful of this restaurants food.
Vipul Goel: Place is cheap, however, instead of 3 dishes we ordered, they only sent 2 dishes. When we called to complain, women on phone started to make fun of my wife. When we called again a man started saying since things are costly they can't help it and this is way to cut down the costs and started misbehaving with us that we are not being nice (that too clearly when they didn't send our order). I am not commenting on quality of food as not feeling right due to poor experience

Robert Kelsey: King prawn balls soggy and burnt.Chow mein over cooked.Sweet and sour disgustingPart of order missing.Sorry very very disappointed

Nayomi: We could not locate a menu online. When we called, the person who answered was rude and we felt we were rushed . Tin's Super Kitchen: what do users think?
becci fabri: Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5More
Louis Tin: Tin’s has been a firm family favourite for years.Apart from a few dishes, the food is nothing particularly special. However for the price you can’t complain. The food is always good value for money. In my opinion, the best dishes are the Hot and Sour Chicken/Prawns, the chilli and salt squid and the Duck in Soya Sauce. If meat is not your preference, they also have great vegetarian options. Try a tofu dish or the Vermicelli with spicy veg (both are delicious!)If looking for a quick meal, the ‘T’ meal-for-ones are good value. I often pick one up after work when walking home from the station. It is served rice + 2 dishes for £6.80.Overall, my personal favourite for a colchester chinese. Good balance of value and taste
J Wood: 80 tins, it’s like we’ve just discovered cooked rice. A few beers in and on the way home I’d think I’d eat even an unlucky friended kitten. Although my mums Vesta curries would teach them something about flavour. Large special bland rice, for me and zero f given on quality and quantity, get your 79 year old mum to cook would be better. I should drink whiskey before attempting
Ben Wingrove: Friendly staff, reasonable priced, was thinking all the boxes ticked until I ate the food itself. It wasn't horrible but it wasn't great either. Just about edible. Food just had no taste at all, chicken balls were very plain, I had to add salt to them to make them some what enjoyable. The curry sauce was OK, spicy but not much taste either.
Josie Webb: Got a meal for one and a chow main, was not nice. Will not be going again. Alot of batter on chicken balls, should be called batter balls with hint'o chicken
Carol Weldon: Always delicious, good value for money, and helpful and friendly.
k b: I love chiken wings and asparagus. Also I enjoyed Udon menu.
louis: I love Mauritius chinese foods. It more tasty than ordinary Chinese take away. Especially I love lamb dishes. I really recommend it.
Toorop Ramlugon: After doing a dayshift I went to this Chinese takeaway and brought myself Sweet-and-sour chicken in batter, When I got home I open the packet and started to eat not realising the sweet-and-sour sauce was watery and it was disgusting however I was very shocked that the chicken in butter four pieces of chicken was raw This was unbelievable I had to throw the whole lot away and it also did not taste normal it had a strange taste to it I was not happy with the service and I don’t think I would ever go there again to buy food. I can also inform you all that the staff there is not very friendly it’s very disappointed and I think they need more customer care training.
Yvonne Stewart: It was awful it was cold chicken wasn't white it was brown and the chicken were all stodge and not cooked properly wnt go there again.
Neil Hammond: Great food after a night out in the local pub
Tom Welham: Used another place for a number of years after a few less-than-perfect meals here, but having recently revisited it was very good and good value.
Robin Paddock: Nice takeaway with usual menu choices as well as a few specials set out at the premises. Parking nearby can be tricky at time.
Steve Howes: Always good especially when you visit regularly as we do and have worked your way round the menu. The dishes with batter are just a bit doughy without that it would be 5 stars. The special prawns with 5 spice and chilli is to die for. The beef chow me in is the best we've ever had.
221BSam: First time I’ve tried this Chinese & have to say, I have no complaints - the meat in my chop suey was cooked really nicely, the food was not greasy unlike some. The whole meal was a delicious treat! The fortune cookie 🥠 was a nice touch too 😊
steveo oo: Great food been going here for years
John McKenna: Rice missing from order discovered after getting home
Phil Pleasance: Staff are nice but a little concerning to see them wearing outdoor clothes in the kitchen. Not sure if its legal for a child to be taking orders, but I assume he is part of the family and he was really good at it. Food wise i was a little disappointed in the chow mein, to many onions and bits of gristle from the chicken knuckle, I suppose the bonus is that it came from a real chicken. Sweet and Sour balls were OK but the large pancake rolls lacked flavour and mainly consisted of been sprouts, more meat and prawns please. I found the portion size of the chow mein quite small. Overall a little disappointing.
Tony Boon: Tin's is a takeaway at which I have eaten from for a good few years and never been disappointed. The price is fair for what you get, the menu is long so plenty to choose from. Fine dining it isn't, but I have no problem picking up the occasional takeaway from Tin's.
mai: BEST CHINESE AROUND, NO DOUBT ABOUT THAT!!!!!The food was perfect, best quality possible. The price is very cheap, and their workers are polite.Delivery time is quick, around an hour time.Would definitely recommend to everyone, even people who hate Chinese food!
Luke Hinchliffe: Crispy chilli beef - great 60% of the time, all of the time

Charlie MacLaughlin: Poor quality of food . Deep fried grease entrée, more grease than food. Sloppy noodles . Cantonese sweet and sour , too much batter .
Sue Noy: Have had these takeaways for years, been brilliant quality and value for money.....up until last weekend. Prices a lot higher and I am afraid we had a disappointing meal, some of the duck inedible, sauce very watery. Hope just a one off 🤞
Mark Sale: First time having Chinese in colchester, gf said she uses new mayflower.. it was shocking definitely got to be up there as the worse Chinese I've ever had...
Ashlee Harker: Great staff and good always. Have used them for years and years, no better in my opinion!! Jenny is super efficient at taking orders and always asks how I am. All the staff are brilliant and I've never had a problem in all these years and now my children use their service too!! Thankyou all for being truly reliable and wonderful for all these years 💜
Joshua Andrews: foods great but long wait times.
annie woodley: Good food. Great prices and deffo recommend if ur in a mood for a Chinese meal.Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More

Simon Vincent: Great quality food
Harry Findlay: The male server was absolutely lovely. He was so kind and recommended what I should get. He deserves a raise!
Hasam C: Wonderful little takeaway right next to Colchester town centre! Found myself here very frequently. Huge variety of food, different asian cuisines not just chinese, extremely clean and tasty food and top of it all staff are amazing!!! Definitely recommend if you find yourself around here👌🏼😁
Lucian Harris-Antwis: Great food, hot and plentiful portions! Great value for money and very tasty! Arrived quickly, friendly delivery staff, definitely the best Chinese in Colchester that we've tried. Would order again!
Gokul Raj: I tried Singapore fried rice and it was just awesome
David P: Absolutely incredible food. Fresh, hot and really tasty. The crispy duck was cooked perfectly with the right balance of crispy and tender duck. The ribs were amazing, the meat fell off the bone with each bite. There are places in Colchester who claim to specialise in Ribs who should be embarrassed at their offering and instead take some tips from these guys as to how to cook proper ribs. Special fried rice was well cooked and packed with meat, beef with mushrooms was rich and tasty and lots of beef and the king prawn chop suey had tonnes of prawns. Chicken balls in batter were excellent with a nice light crispy batter and tender chicken. Excellent food at a great price. The New Mayflower is the best Chinese in Colchester by a mile.
Claire Tracey: Just had my first takeaway from here having been reccomend by a friend. BEST Chinese I've had since moving to Colchester 6 years ago. I will definitely be a regular
Saffron Smith: This Chinese is the best in Colchester. We have tried so many, if not all of them and this one trumps them all. Not too expensive, food is amazing and always fresh and hot, staff are always happy and polite. Crispy chilli beef is a dish that we love and is ordered every time, it’s always very crispy! Accepts cash, card via phone or card at the door. Delivery drivers are never later than specified time and always polite too.5*. Wouldn’t go anywhere else :)
richard scriven: Friendly helpful and efficient. Competitive prices. The food was amazing. Very tasty and still hot after taking it home. Love the place and the people there.

David Webber: Chicken and mushroom soup awful tasted like soy sauce.beef for main meal tough.meal was 29:90 when I phoned up I made it 27'20 will not be using them again
Dan Rout: Last time will order from here, £7.40 per dish is far to expensive for the quality especially when other takeaways are at the £5.80 mark. also have to pay for prawn crackers wouldn't mind but I could eat in a restaurant for the 10 quid more
Joe Hearn: Slightly confusing. Ordered without Veg but food came with it anyway. Not a massive problem but annoying. Called to to try and sort over the phone. Lady said I didn't ask for "no veg". I have had the same no veg dish for many years. Maybe she didn't hear me. Would have been nice to have been offered a replacement. Also, has minimum card payment which is slightly annoying. Maybe, I should just eat vegetables!
Katie Newiss: Not good no prawn crackers. No fortune cookies. Food was cold

Keeley Swan: Ordered 3x dishes. Both vegetarian dishes were so spicy, despite not being advertised as such. There was a whole tablespoon of chillies in one dish alone. The same dish contained tofu, which was very hard and chewy.Reasonable delivery costs, though we had to wait 1hr20. Spent £30 and no prawn crackers either 😔
Michael Stant: Pukka food thanks
Leah Armishaw: Great quality food, tried it on a whim and definitely found my new favourite Chinese!
neil brewster: Amazing food, So tasty, literally just the Best ive ever had as Chinese takeaways go. (And ive had alot)And the delivery service is superb. I wouldn't be bothered if Bejing charged a bit more for their services because i would be happy to pay it. Credit should be given where it's due I believe. Beijing, You're epic! 👌

It is the first time I have ever had to salt my chinese food.Vegetarian options: I ordered the vegetarian noodles and they were generous with the greens.
lilly Copping: Good food but very rude staff who need to learn how to treat customers kindly 😡
P’Seb TV: Popped in for a quick Chinese and ended up having some of the best chilli beef I’ve ever had 👌🏽 With excellent service. I would defo recommend.
