Ariane E.: Not overly impressed with this car dealership. When I ordered a car I was lied at from day one when I placed the order about the lead time. When they felt that i was desperate enough they tried to sell me an equal car for more money initially and I then declined as it just didn't feel right. . Then they tried to offer me a first free service if I give them a good review. This is not what I consider an appropriate way of earning a good review!!!
Julie Edwards: I had a problem with my tyres and steering so I booked the car in to be looked at. They got it booked in the same day since I explained I needed the car for my job. They fixed it quickly and didn't charge me explaining the tyres needed swapping front to back, which solved the problem. The staff were efficient, friendly and very helpful. I wouldn't want to go anywhere else to get my car fixed. Excellent service!

Constantina: If you happen to visit this car dealership, make sure to ask for Jack Hooley, he's the best! This was my first time buying a car, so I was a bit nervous about it, but Jack did his absolute best to turn this into a positive experience for me, and it really was!The entire process went very smoothly, and no matter how many questions I had, Jack was always happy to answer them for me and help out. Very patiently and always with a smile, he took my husband and I through every step of the process and helped us understand of what to expect moving forward, explained features of the car itself, and called afterwards to make sure everything is still OK.Both my husband and I are very pleased with the car and the service we received, and it's comforting to know that there are salesmen like Jack - personable, trying to understand his customers and helping as much as possible! We are definitely going to continue doing business with Glyn Hopkin Renault/Dacia Colchester thanks to Jack. Give that man a bonus!

Sandra Graham: Poor customer service. Despite booking a courtesy car 3 weeks in advance & being told I could collect it any time during the day - when I arrived at 11am….I’m told that NO cars are available as it’s been issued to another customer and will not be until at least 5pm Surely if you book a courtesy car, it is allocated to you!!!! Wasted journey, then told to return the next day to hopefully have the use of a car by a customer service agent who couldn’t manage to look up from their computer. No apology, no effort to solve the issue & an attitude that my time & the 45 minute journey to get there is of no consequence or value! Poor show Glyn Hopkin!!!!

Andrew Pimblett: Had my car serviced amd MOT'd at Lookers Colchester since 2019 and always been a pleasure to deal with. In Feb 2023 my car went in for its final service and MOT before being returned to the lease company in 2 weeks time. I had just had some minor accident repairs completed by my insurers nominated repair centre and the service technicians found a number of faults with the repair that needed rectifying as they were an MOT failure. Rachel Clifton in the service department was brilliant in rearranging loan cars for other customers so that I could keep mine beyond the one day originally planned and also in pushing the team to get my car finished asap as it was due to be handed back to the lease company.
Larry Botheras: November 22: Very good experience despite being a slightly complex set of circumstances, but well handled, including dealing with Volvo Assist as well.Rachel was always polite and very cheerful, nothing being too much trouble.March 23: Regular Service time, and again an excellent experience. I expected to need to replace rear pads, to be told that they had plenty of meat left on them. Once again, Rachel was the advisor, and her cheerful attitude is a joy compared to some dealers I have used previously. Well done Lookers Volvo Colchester.
Jason Hunt: My V40 had a steering issue where the steering wheel was off set to the right. Took it for three wheel alignments at various chains and none could resolve it. Took it to Lookers and they sorted it and it is spot on. Friendly service and actually didn’t cost an arm and a leg either.

Rakesh Singarapu: 2 issuesI had to visit multiple times because lack of communication from them. I was asked to visit at 9 in the morning but when I did the car was not yet ready and asked to come back after 3 hours. No courtesy car and being peak time, I couldn't get a taxi either to go back.2nd being the car had a used water bottle in the driver's seat and that nowhere counts as 'sanitized' as advertised.No issues from the car or the actual service and all my problems were resolved.
Susan Ager: Vehicle wasn’t returned on day it should have been. Lack of good communication, the. Cleaning of the car was pathetic and the cost was too high. Will NOT. Be returning to Volvo again. Very poor.
