Bill's Cardiff Central Restaurant: what do users think?

Derek Smith: , I had Earl Grey, served in a large Red Tin Teapot!! Wonderful!!! Staff were great, located in a Victorian Arcade, couldn't be better... loved it.

Sarah Williams: First experience of Bill's early this morning for a breakfast meeting. Excellent avocado on sourdough toast with poached egg and I loved the battered enamel teapot and old-fashioned china cup and saucer. Very impressed all the tables outside in the arcade were spruced up and ready to go at 8 a.m. Will be back ... maybe two teabags in the teapot next time?

Paige Georgina: place. From the moment you step into the establishment you are greeted by friendly and helpful staff and beautiful decor. The staff were informative as to when our table would be ready, patient with us when we couldn’t decide on what to choose and helpful whenever we needed assistance. The food was absolutely delicious and came out promptly after ordering. The coffee was delicious, too with a wide range to choose from. The dessert was so tasty and a wonderful finish to a lovely little brunch!Highly recommend place and with how popular it was when we went on Saturday, I’d 100% say book a table to avoid missing out!

Fez: We booked a table in advance which was a good thing as there was quite a queue when we arrived. We were greeted and seated quickly by friendly staff. All staff throughout were wonderful. The food was served quickly and was hot with ample portions. The Brunch with extra pancakes was absolutely outrageous! Really enjoyed it!Great menu with good options for all.Overall, great staff, great food, great location with good atmosphere and ample portions!Recommended!!

Alexander Stathakis: Wow Wow Wow what can I say. My breakfast here at bills was incredible. the potatoes were cooked to perfection and the egg was just the best. If you get the bills breakfast I would recommend the extra pancake. It really adds to it. Also the juices in the morning are so refreshing. I love it here.

julie toozer: Absolutely fantastic! 👍 food, service, atmosphere and decor 1st class! ❤️ Wonderful smoothies too! Will definitely be visiting again! Thank you so much! 😊Dietary restrictions: Very knowledgeable about food allergies, which was invaluable, thank you again.

Alison Neale: Visited this beautifully decorated restaurant tonight. What a treat, the food, service and atmosphere were wonderful.I had a Mint & lemon smoothie which tasted just like a mojito- 😋All the staff were very welcoming, the owner especially.Definitely be back soon.Highly recommend.Dietary restrictions: Very aware of food allergies- they do not use any peanuts in their cooking.

Tim Poulet: Superb restaurant with ultra-fragrant and hearty dishes as if we were in the country!Thank you for this great discovery of Syrian cuisine.

Bill's Cardiff Bay Restaurant: what do users think?

Peppermint: The meal was delicious, and the set menu was very reasonably priced - £16 for 2 courses or £20 for 3 courses. The waitresses were fantastic.Unfortunately, we were sat by the window on a very cold night so we felt pretty cold throughout the meal. It’s also a dog-friendly restaurant which I didn’t know when I booked.Vegetarian options: A good number of vegetarian options.Dietary restrictions: There were plenty of vegan dishes on the menu, with two vegan desserts available.

Tomos Ashworth: Bill's has always had great atmosphere, the staff training and attitude is always on point. The food, whilst still enjoyable, I feel has lost quality over the years. It feels like more and more the food is brought in batches, pre-made rather than freshly prepared in the kitchen.Still, an enjoyable experience that doesn't break the bank, and the floor staff do a great job of being considerate and attentive.

Alun Roberts: Visiting Bill's for the very first time. The Big Brunch, excellent quality produce, and the trickle of red onion on the side of the plate - blended with those gorgeous free range sunny side up eggs, combined a lovely hint of sharpness with the unctious gooey egg yolk.Staff extra friendly and accomodating for my wife and her wheelchair.Special thanks to Gemma and her colleague, Meg, for a most memorable dining experience.

Graham Scutt: Very nice visit with my 2 year old son. Our waitress Nieve was very attentive. Food was really nice. Highly recommended.Kid-friendliness: High chair was clean. Often they are filthy.

Alexxander Shae'en M'taal: The hostess/staff member when we arrived was superb in sorting out a suitable space for the 6 of us. The waiting staff were all friendly, couple of minor issues in having to ask for the water for the table multiple times before it arrived, and the dirty vegan burger was hard to cut into, but otherwise enjoyable. rosemary fries seemed like they'd be a good companion, but couldn't tell they'd been seasoned at all

Pedro Freitas: Recommended dishes Chocolate Brownie, Diver Scallops, Risotto

StarGazer67676: , they also added a service charge which I'd asked via email to be removed but we still got charged for it.Trying to book a table is also impossible - no one ever seems to answer the phone, and the website just doesn't have it for some reason, so I ended up having to do it through their Instagram page!If you manage to book a table, it's worth going, but keep expectations level

Steffan Norman: Amazing meal for my anniversary, unbelievable staff and service

Winston Jonas: Great place to stop in town. I have eaten here: easily booked a table for 10 with no need for a deposit, or credit card or your first born hand in marriage after sacrificing a goat, unlike other "fancy" venues in town. The food is okay, but it's much better to come for drinks or coffee. It's got a real nice, laidback atmosphere with a nice view of Hayes from the window. I stop off here with my daughter, and even when they're not serving desert, they'll do her a bowl of ice cream, and it's good stuff 👌. TL:DR Great staff, great drinks, okay food.

Christopher John: First stop on Saturday after getting to Cardiff..Had brunch here and spent about an hour in total here. The food was lovely, well presented, and tasted great. The drink was the same, although slightly disappointed by the smoothie my friend had as that was straight up poured from a bottle in front of us. (Could have gone to tesco and got a bottle cheaper.Aside from that, I can't complain.

Julian Appleby: Excellent food as always.A bit loud for any sort of conversation, and quite dim.Youngsters would say that was the atmosphere, but as I used my torch to read the menu, and fumbled for my glasses I realised I was getting old.Would definitely go back tho.....

John Matthews: Nice informal place, seemed very similar to a Lounge in terms of decor and ambience. Good food and service, although my wife's steak wasn't hot and chips were lukewarm. Asked for the latter to be replaced - no problem, and the ones that came back were fine, so they can do it if they try. Plates didn't feel very warm, which didn't help.BTW chips are served in a little metal bucket, which seems generous until you discover that they are sitting on greaseproof paper, and you only get about a quarter of a bucket.Good amount of meat in my Spanish Chicken, and the apple pie was worth waiting for.

Nicole Maber: The waitresses here are so welcoming, recommended this highly for a good breakfast in cardiff

toiletpaperkiu: , radishes, etc., and are stewed with beef or sheep. The slow-cooked Cawl Cymreig lamb in this restaurant can be forked easily, and the vanilla flavor is at the back. I loved eating this stomach-warming thing after being out for a long time that day!I also tried the Welsh rarebit, "caws pobi". The bread is crispy and then spread with a prepared cheese sauce on top and then baked. The secret of this dish that is said to have appeared in the 18th century is in the sauce. In addition to cheddar cheese, it usually also includes Brown Ale, mustard, and Worcestershire sauce. It uses sourdough as the base and chives on top to neutralize the greasy, spicy and crunchy texture. Just one bite after another. . . Originally it was called rabbit in English, but due to the lack of rabbits, it was renamed rarebit🐇Follow @toiletpaperkiu to see more, and let’s get together #緷快狠丸🥢👽!

Olivia Winter: Found this place through various YouTube videos and wanted to try it out. And it was sooo worth it. So especially for the drinks and the appetizer.Clear recommendation: Welsh Rarebits in various versions. If you happen to be in Cardiff, you should definitely stop by.

Ellie Williams: was an absolute gem along with everyone working. They made us feel so at home, had a good laugh and a joke with all the staff. Overall 10/10, we will definately be back❤️Ps Long Island ice tea is top notch here🤩

TERESA ROTH: Fabulous food, friendly staff. Quiet with fun and quirky decor. Homemade, fresh dishes. Local ingredients. Smooth, well made, cocktails! Walk past all the chains and other boring places and come here!Dietary restrictions: Staff was attentive and thorough with checking for allergens

Chrispy Bacon: Never in my life have I had such a warm and cozy welcome, what a stunning staff and such a great attitude towards service. The food was delectable. I had been craving Welsh rarebit for years and it was great to finally satisfy that craving with some traditional and homely food. The burger was juicy and flavourful, and the Guinness plentifull. I can't wait to return. Thanks El

Alice Logue: Great bar! Food is always great, we have the sharing meat boards and they never fail!! Elena is also great at reccomending cocktails when I can't decide what I want

Hema Harilal: Firstly, the ambience was exquisite. The team was really nice and patient. The waitress suggested Welsh sausage and mash, which was really good. The rarebits were delicious and filling. The Welsh loaded fries were not 'loaded' enough. We went looking for lamb cawl, however, because of the long cooking time, we couldn't try it. The team was really kind and offered us a take away. We weren't able to go back for the lamb cawl, but will definitely be coming back.

Jay Leverton: Me and my fiancee wandered in to Pitch on a whim. Despite turning up 10 minutes before the kitchen was due to close, we were welcomed in and seated straight away. The staff were friendly and attentive, the atmosphere was relaxed and cozy. Furthermore, the food is hearty and delicious. I have to recommend the beef and ale pie, it's absolutely exquisite.A small establishment with a big heart, if you're in Cardiff and you want a bite to eat, give Pitch a go!

Heaneys Restaurant: what do users think?

Andrew Drayton: We dined in for the tasting menu. Incredible food, with really well thought out flavours.Service was attentive, friendly and not at all stuffy.Thoroughly reccomend.

Waleed Khalid: A sea trout and baked potato course arrived as a wafer-thin tartlet topped with a froth of, conceivably, spume. It was light and “er, interesting.” Our first course was a bowlful of broth with a side of super-thin slivers of duck – a quackscuttio, if you will. “There’s no right or wrong way to eat this,” said our waiter, which was good to know, especially as we’d not been given any cutlery.Dumping the duck in the broth and downing in one seemed to be the sensible approach, and it was good and meaty. As was its follow-up, the oxtail and anchovy chunklets: all gone without hitting the sides.

Sarah Jones: We recently enjoyed a delightful Sunday lunch at Heanys. For starters, we savoured the fishcake in coconut Thai sauce, bursting with flavour. Moving on to the main course, the succulent and tender lamb dinner had delightful hints of barbecue and garlic. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our meal and wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant.

Ant: Heaneys Restaurant is a Michelin recommended restaurant in Cardiff. There is different menu variations throughout the week, including tasting menu. Went there for Sunday lunch and had the set menu. The interior is modern and simplistic, very nice. The staff are all very friendly and helpful. Our waiter was Grant, he was extremely attentive and anticipated the needs of the guests. Absolute star! The food is absolutely amazing. The aged beef was so flavourful and rich, all the trimmings of the Sunday roast were perfect, had a massive Yorkshire pudding. The vegetarian sunflower seed pithivier was perfect too! The desserts were exceptional! The chocolate choux is perfection! Overall, amazing experience! Definitely recommend visiting! Thank you to the whole team!

Karen A Brown: Firstly what a warm friendly greeting from the team. We'd rang to say we may be a little late as uber after uber had let us down. We turned up 20min late which we never do i get stressed. However the lady on the phone assured me it would be alright not to worry. Once we arrived we were shown a lovely round table by the window. One of the team brought us water and explained the menu. We went for the short taster with wine for each course. Oh my what a journey! Each dish so different and delicious. Each dish a master piece. Each dish explained to us. Each wine complimented each dish. The sommelier discribed each wine in detail.Thank you for an unforgetable birthday. We will return. Karen and Dave

Jacob Thomas: One of the best spots in Cardiff without a doubt, amazing flavours and innovative dishes. The taster menu is a must, great experience overall.

Andrew Ellison: Came here for our 1st wedding anniversary. Excellent restaurant with Michelin star quality food and service. We had the long tasting menu and each course was delicious. My wife is lactose intolerant and they accommodated to her needs with no issues. It is pricey but that is to be expected for the quality of food. Courses were weighted towards fish so non fish lovers would struggle with the tasting menu. But having said that I'm not a huge fan of fish but I enjoyed every course. Would definitely return again for a special occasion. I would expect this restaurant to be awarded a Michelin star in the near future.

Porro Llandaff: what do users think?

Erasmus In Cardiff: Amazing.Super friendly staff. Restaurant very clean, nicely decorated, somewhat understated - and here comes the food. Absolutely delightful. Great selection and value for the set menu. Staff very attentive, super fast service and very supportive to parents with young children in particular. We had a fantastic time and my son loved all of his food and ours too - there is no better testimony than this. The sticky toffee pudding is out of this world, as is ox ragu tagliatelle. We loved it so much we will definitely return, a gem of a place for Cardiff. Well done Porro, keep up the great work!
