Pedro Freitas: Recommended dishes Chocolate Brownie, Diver Scallops, Risotto

StarGazer67676: , they also added a service charge which I'd asked via email to be removed but we still got charged for it.Trying to book a table is also impossible - no one ever seems to answer the phone, and the website just doesn't have it for some reason, so I ended up having to do it through their Instagram page!If you manage to book a table, it's worth going, but keep expectations level

Steffan Norman: Amazing meal for my anniversary, unbelievable staff and service

Gosia Poland: Great place. Something uncommon for polish tourists. Good food too!

Winston Jonas: Great place to stop in town. I have eaten here: easily booked a table for 10 with no need for a deposit, or credit card or your first born hand in marriage after sacrificing a goat, unlike other "fancy" venues in town. The food is okay, but it's much better to come for drinks or coffee. It's got a real nice, laidback atmosphere with a nice view of Hayes from the window. I stop off here with my daughter, and even when they're not serving desert, they'll do her a bowl of ice cream, and it's good stuff 👌. TL:DR Great staff, great drinks, okay food.

Christopher John: First stop on Saturday after getting to Cardiff..Had brunch here and spent about an hour in total here. The food was lovely, well presented, and tasted great. The drink was the same, although slightly disappointed by the smoothie my friend had as that was straight up poured from a bottle in front of us. (Could have gone to tesco and got a bottle cheaper.Aside from that, I can't complain.

Julian Appleby: Excellent food as always.A bit loud for any sort of conversation, and quite dim.Youngsters would say that was the atmosphere, but as I used my torch to read the menu, and fumbled for my glasses I realised I was getting old.Would definitely go back tho.....

John Matthews: Nice informal place, seemed very similar to a Lounge in terms of decor and ambience. Good food and service, although my wife's steak wasn't hot and chips were lukewarm. Asked for the latter to be replaced - no problem, and the ones that came back were fine, so they can do it if they try. Plates didn't feel very warm, which didn't help.BTW chips are served in a little metal bucket, which seems generous until you discover that they are sitting on greaseproof paper, and you only get about a quarter of a bucket.Good amount of meat in my Spanish Chicken, and the apple pie was worth waiting for.

Nicole Maber: The waitresses here are so welcoming, recommended this highly for a good breakfast in cardiff

Allison Price: Lovely evening catching up with friends. Staff were lovely and very friendly. Place virtually empty but we sat in an area like a round conservatory so didn't notice. Would go again soon. I had the tapas 3 x £15 so like 3 for 2 but huge portions took half home 🏡. Definitely recommend visiting.Vegetarian options: Lots of different choices in all menus. Excellent selections.

Connor Boycott: Absolutely fantastic greeting from Ashley as soon as we were seated at our table. Above & beyond any server we have experienced ❤️❤️We’ll & truly enjoyed his job and fulfilling any needs by his customers. 💯 Top Employee ❤️❤️Someone you need to hang on to.Xxxxxxx

Jaerson Trindade: Atmosphere: 5/5

顾梓洋: To put it bluntly, the delicious food here is worth three times the price.

Kylie Thomas: Beautiful food with excellent wine pairings.Private dining - this even was for around 28 people. Unfortunately a rugby match was scheduled for the same day and it felt like our experience perhaps suffered a little because of it. The 2 servers we had were brilliant and certainly did their best but they could have done with extra people. There was no background music so it lacked some ambience but everyone had a great time and really enjoyed the food.

Frank Sengpiel: Excellent food and nice ambience in a famous building

Campbell Ramsey: Fantastic staff, the food is amazing and a stunning collection of first class wine.

Hywel Davies: Excellent meal and service as always, the 9 course tasting menu was amazing. The Chef is to be congratulated for the inspired dishes especially the scallops which were cooked to perfection.Dietary restrictions: Very knowledgeable and helpful about the food allergy and alternatives were offered for one course of the tasting menu that might have caused a reaction.

Andrew Clark: Amazing food and a knowledgeable and attentive team. Wine paring with the food is a must. Setting is superb, such a characterful building sensitively modernised. Definitely returning 🙌🏼

Ganesh Vijayarangam: Delicious food and great service for a family of three after a long day

Ella Cook: We went to Slug and Lettuce for my hen do and booked the cocktail masterclass. We had a fantastic time, Theo who was running the cocktail making was great, we had a great laugh whilst making different cocktails. The general manager was checking in, making sure everything was okay and asking for song requests that we wanted! Great service, drinks and atmosphere!

Katie Oz: Food was delicious, everyone enjoyed. Two had veggie breakfasts, one bacon burger and one avocado toast. The burger was a little overcooked but otherwise very nice. Our server Ella-Louise was very polite and attentive. Also related to us for a lovely personal touch. 10/10 bottomless brunch experience, thank you very much to everyone working!

Bev Jones: Unfortunately didn’t eat thereJust had a few drinks before theatre performance on Monday 18 March.Superb service. Lovely ambience. Cool music. No time to eat but menu looked great- am vegetarianLook forward to returning

G D J Swindail-Parry: I had the most fantastic meal with friends here. For my starter I had the Pane all’ Aglio e Mozzarella which was very tasty, followed by one of the best Pasta Arrabiata‘s I have ever had. Desert was a creamy lemon cheesecake that was incredibly smooth and moreish, albeit a bit pricy for the portion.Giovanni came over and spoke with us all which was lovely, and the hospitality was outstanding. Giovanni and everyone at the restaurant were incredibly friendly and welcoming and gave the best service I have seen at a restaurant in years!Outstanding service and delicious food! Would very highly reccommend!

Derek Smith: , I had Earl Grey, served in a large Red Tin Teapot!! Wonderful!!! Staff were great, located in a Victorian Arcade, couldn't be better... loved it.

Sarah Williams: First experience of Bill's early this morning for a breakfast meeting. Excellent avocado on sourdough toast with poached egg and I loved the battered enamel teapot and old-fashioned china cup and saucer. Very impressed all the tables outside in the arcade were spruced up and ready to go at 8 a.m. Will be back ... maybe two teabags in the teapot next time?

Paige Georgina: place. From the moment you step into the establishment you are greeted by friendly and helpful staff and beautiful decor. The staff were informative as to when our table would be ready, patient with us when we couldn’t decide on what to choose and helpful whenever we needed assistance. The food was absolutely delicious and came out promptly after ordering. The coffee was delicious, too with a wide range to choose from. The dessert was so tasty and a wonderful finish to a lovely little brunch!Highly recommend place and with how popular it was when we went on Saturday, I’d 100% say book a table to avoid missing out!

Fez: We booked a table in advance which was a good thing as there was quite a queue when we arrived. We were greeted and seated quickly by friendly staff. All staff throughout were wonderful. The food was served quickly and was hot with ample portions. The Brunch with extra pancakes was absolutely outrageous! Really enjoyed it!Great menu with good options for all.Overall, great staff, great food, great location with good atmosphere and ample portions!Recommended!!

Alexander Stathakis: Wow Wow Wow what can I say. My breakfast here at bills was incredible. the potatoes were cooked to perfection and the egg was just the best. If you get the bills breakfast I would recommend the extra pancake. It really adds to it. Also the juices in the morning are so refreshing. I love it here.

Bill's Cardiff Bay Restaurant: what do users think?

Peppermint: The meal was delicious, and the set menu was very reasonably priced - £16 for 2 courses or £20 for 3 courses. The waitresses were fantastic.Unfortunately, we were sat by the window on a very cold night so we felt pretty cold throughout the meal. It’s also a dog-friendly restaurant which I didn’t know when I booked.Vegetarian options: A good number of vegetarian options.Dietary restrictions: There were plenty of vegan dishes on the menu, with two vegan desserts available.

Tomos Ashworth: Bill's has always had great atmosphere, the staff training and attitude is always on point. The food, whilst still enjoyable, I feel has lost quality over the years. It feels like more and more the food is brought in batches, pre-made rather than freshly prepared in the kitchen.Still, an enjoyable experience that doesn't break the bank, and the floor staff do a great job of being considerate and attentive.

Alun Roberts: Visiting Bill's for the very first time. The Big Brunch, excellent quality produce, and the trickle of red onion on the side of the plate - blended with those gorgeous free range sunny side up eggs, combined a lovely hint of sharpness with the unctious gooey egg yolk.Staff extra friendly and accomodating for my wife and her wheelchair.Special thanks to Gemma and her colleague, Meg, for a most memorable dining experience.

Graham Scutt: Very nice visit with my 2 year old son. Our waitress Nieve was very attentive. Food was really nice. Highly recommended.Kid-friendliness: High chair was clean. Often they are filthy.

Alexxander Shae'en M'taal: The hostess/staff member when we arrived was superb in sorting out a suitable space for the 6 of us. The waiting staff were all friendly, couple of minor issues in having to ask for the water for the table multiple times before it arrived, and the dirty vegan burger was hard to cut into, but otherwise enjoyable. rosemary fries seemed like they'd be a good companion, but couldn't tell they'd been seasoned at all

Valentino's: what do users think?

Yaaas S: .The service was amazing, with the waiting staff asking about my brother's birthday plans and talking about their own 18th birthday. As we were the only table at that time, I can't comment on what the service would have been like had the restaurant been full but our experience was excellent. The food was delicious. We all had starters and a few of us had desserts. There were no faults with the food. We also were given complimentary bread and butter while we were waiting. When desserts came, they put on a happy birthday song and had written 'happy birthday' on my brother's dessert plate and put a candle in his dessert, which was a lovely touch. The only criticism I have of the restaurant is when you first come in, you can smell the toilets, which are upstairs opposite the entrance door. I didn't use the bathroom there so can't comment on cleanliness but there was definitely a toilet smell. I wouldn't let that put anyone else off going, as inside the restaurant is fine. Two of us are vegetarian and there was enough choice on the menu for us, rather than just the usual one option!

Nathan Dodd: What a wonderful place. It's getting difficult to have a good, honest, family run restaraunt experience in Cardiff City these days. There are only a small handful of places left who serve this sort of experience and atmosphere. I can't believe it's taken me until now to visit Valentino's but I'm so glad I did. The service was excellent, and the staff and owners are so accommodating. Thank you all for a wonderful experience.

Zach Busch: Absolutely wicked little restaurant. I called ahead as we were on the later side and wanted to check for tables and was told one was available, we showed up ten minutes later and the server immediately asked if I was the one that called and the excellent service continued from there, our initial waiter seemed a little new maybe and we had to work with them a little bit but the more experienced server started to take over and he was just excellent. The food is also second to very few, the carbonara was representative of the quality you'd expect in Italy. Overall a wonderful experience with a cosy vibe.
