Osaka (Cardiff): what do users think?

sandeep shenoy: Is a small and beautifully decorated Japanese restaurant in Canton. They have a large menu ranging from sushi, salad, tempura , fried rice and noodles. The veggie/vegan section has been clearly marked in the menu. The staff were humble and welcoming. The prices are reasonable as well, expect around 10 to 15 pounds for a 2 course meal. We had a variety of their maki, Inari Sushi and Udon Noodles. We caught by surprise that we thought we ordered Aubergine Tempura however we were served Agedashi, which tasted good. The food was mildly seasoned as well, which is easy on your pallet. They also gave us a small pot full of soya sauce and a flavourful chilli oil to season the food ourselves.

manman woo: The overall atmosphere of the restaurant is goodFriendly clerkThe standard of Yiyaki ramen is currently the best among British restaurantsThe noodles are curved like regular ramen, the soup base is thick and not greasy, and the grilled noodles are large but have a bit of pig flavor.Recommend the Osaka roll, which has fried shrimp, eel and shredded cucumber. The roll is huge but the seaweed is not crispy. The fried pork cutlet ramen soup base is not flavorful enough, but the fried pork cutlet is crispy on the outside and soft on the inside without the smell of pig.Parking: After parking your car at Gray St Carpark, go to the ticket machine in the middle of the parking lot and enter the license plate number. Then place the ticket at the front of the car for the ticket clerk to inspect at any time. There is no parking fee for the first 2 hours or after 18:00.

Kevin Wall: Very nice staff. They moved tables for me as I didn't want to sit next to the door on a cold evening. Lovely food. I'll go again.Parking: Parking is easy, either on the road or the free car park a short walk away.

Gábor Csonka: Recommendation for vegetarians Highly recommend Vegetarian offerings Clearly labeled vegetarian dishes

William Yip: Food is consistently fresh, you can taste how fresh and good the salmon is every time. The service is efficient and helpful and the atmosphere is very nicely Japanese themed.Gets quite busy often, so best to book in advance.

Colum Sanson Regan: Love this place, the food is top notch and the staff are all lovely

ivan li: Delicious, reasonably priced, and the shop staff is very friendly when they speak Cantonese 😄Food quality and service are top notch.

Johnnie Tse: This is a family run restaurant with authentic Japanese cuisine and the food is really gorgeous. Every time my family visits Cardiff, we come to dine in this restaurant. The food is tasty and the price is reasonable as well as the staff is very friendly. I enjoyed all the dishes especially Tempura 🍤 Moriawase and mixed Nigiri sushi 🍣👍

Yakitori1: what do users think?

Darth Rum69: Our first visit to this restaurant for my wife and I. We visited on an early Monday evening at 17:45. It was not very busy, which we like. Shown to a clean table and overall looked well maintained. The menu was in good condition and there was plenty to choose from with a few helpful pictures and the waiter was helpful. We chose a shared starter Yakitori 1 nigri special and from "The Wok page" we ordered as our mains "Cha han with duck" and "Yaki Sobi with salmon". All the food was excellent and arrived very promptly. To drink we each had a bottle of coke. The bill was £59.80. Well worth it in our opinion and we would go again.Parking: Need to park in one of the big car parks nearby.Wheelchair accessibility: Easy access in my opinion all on the grid floor and there is a supporting toilet.

YukiYan Sushi Japanese Restaurant: what do users think?

Iestyn Jones: The service is fantastic the two waitress’ that served were amazing. Incredibly fast brining out the food and were more than helpful with things to order. I love my seafood therefore I had the 7 different types of seafood which I loved salmon being the stand out. Chicken gyoza I strongly recommend having on the side. Seaweed salad I enjoyed too something different but tastes fantastic. I will be returning and when I do I’ll order off the set menu as that looks like incredible value for money. Best sushi restaurant I’ve been to in Cardiff.

苗豆: Dinner. Not bad. It is worth recommending this place.

万象: Affordable and delicious

Emma Sloly: Went for the my daughters birthday and as she has just moved to Cardiff for university. We had no clue where to go for food but she loves Japanese food so after looking at reviews we both found this restaurant and as a family we wasn't disappointed the food is amazing, some of the best we have tried. Staff are friendly. A very casual vibe .

YO! Cardiff St David's: what do users think?

Lola Savage (Lola): was so helpful and friendly. Would definitely go back.Vegetarian options: Loads of options and staff very knowledgable of the menu

vanessa bond: I have been avoiding Yo! Sushi for quite some time now because of one particular staff member who I found both lazy and unpleasant, as if the weight of the world was on her shoulders and she was doing any patron the biggest favour. To my delight she was not visible in the store so I popped in for a quick bite and was blown away. Yo! Sushi is back with excellent service, warm welcomes and delicious fresh sushi beautifully presented.Trigg took care of me and he is a credit to your chain with great product knowledge and excellent people skills. Will definitely become a regular again.

The Ichiban Sushi & Noodle Bar Japanese Restaurant: what do users think?

Richard Wood: My all time favourite restaurant in Cardiff.Family run, with a wonderful warm welcome and atmosphere. The food is superb and I recommend the Sashimi, Chirashi don, Tako Su and the various Teishoku.Over the 15+ years that we have been visiting Ichiban, the staff have become good friends.Visited on Saturday for my birthday and I had Happy Birthday sang to me for nearly every course - Hugely embarrassing and really appreciated! The current venue is closing on the 10th of Sep and I’m going to really miss it. Hopefully a new venue will be opening very soon, as it’s easily the best of its kind in Cardiff.

Jackie Hockley: Lovely food, friendly service, I always love eating here.Vegetarian options: All veggie options are clearly marked on the menu

Sharkie: This is my favorite restaurant!Best sushi I ever had! And yes fair enough I never been to Japan, but I had sushi in many many places around UK and Europe and even Dubai, but nothing compares to Ichiban in Cardiff! I come at least once or 2wice a month and I am not a type of person who regularly come to any places. I like trying new things, new restaurants every time, but I just can't stay away from Ichiban.I'll give you tip for perfect order: set meal 101, one portion of inari nigiri and one portion of tobiko nigiri. You'll leave full and satisfied as well with a portion size as variety of the meal. However if you're not a fan of those things, they offer wide selection of sushi and other japanese dishes so everyone will find something for themselves. Texture of rice and slices of fish are rich and perfectly balanced. There's a slight issue with heating in winter, so it can get quite cold, but I assure you it's worth it.

MurphyC Abraham: Really friendly and efficient serviceFood is absolutely amazing,Always hot food and full of flavourService is very quick and cleanliness is 5 ⭐️Relaxing atmosphereWould recommend to everyone.Vegetarian options: Wide range of vegetarian optionsKid-friendliness: Children’s food and drink options
