There is a children’s play area adjacent to the reserve, as well as a riverside bar nearby. The site also has water meadows and woodland for visitors to explore.

The nature reserve is owned by the local council and managed by the parks department. It was designated as a Local Nature Reserve in 2008.

Formerly farmland, part of the site was used for landfill in the 1970s. There was also a plan to build a road across the land.

Visitors can enjoy a beautiful open space that is both peaceful and full of wildlife. The site provides a facility that everyone in the area can enjoy and be proud of.
