Avon Gorge by Hotel du Vin: what do users think?

Carl Waterfield: Absolutely amazing hotel. Lovely room, with a view of the gorge and partial view of the suspension bridge.Decent facilities in the room. Rainforest shower and complimentary shower products also super nice!Didn't speak to many staff, but those I did were very helpful.

Louise Hodge: Great hotel with amazing views from the restaurant, just let down by a very slow meal. Took 3 hours for a 3 course meal. Since emailed to question the bill but still had no reply.Rooms: Lovely rooms and bathroom. Love the art! The duvet cover was much bigger than the duvet, which was annoying.Nearby activities: Location good for visiting the camera obscura and cave on the hill and taking in the bridge and gorge. Lots of great restaurants nearby, too.

Colin: but my son watched this after accessing the WIFI. Parking was somewhat challengingso parked about five minutes walk away. Fantastic views of Clifton Suspension Bridge.

Aaron Umba: Had a birthday dinner here in the beautiful private dining suite. Food was excellent and all guests were full and satisfied with the portions. The only problem is the staff in the lounge knew absolutely nothing about cigars and didn't even know how to cut them, they tried to be helpful, but how can they say the "staff are knowledgeable about cigars" when they don't even know the right end to cut?

Saikat Mukherjee: Luxury French hotel with British delicacy just beside the famous Clifton Suspension Bridge. Very well decorated and mainted room. The staffs are really polite and helpful. The house restaurant is one of the best in town.

Chris Stanley: Beautiful view of the bridgeHotel highlights Great view …

Trey Campbell: Perfectly near to the venue I'm going to tonight, lovely clean room, TV could have done with connecting to the WiFi, so that there is YouTube on the Tele, other from that, decent hotel 🛏️Rooms: Clean tidy, with coffee and tea, with a kettle and hair dryer, hand wash and shampoo in the toliet, just remember your toothbrush and toothpaste ✌️Nearby activities: Clock factory around the corner, hotel based in town centreWalkability: Lots of shops and takeaways near by

Rachael Bryan: Content with roast.

Kezia Webber: My husband and I stayed here for part of our honeymoon, perfect location and wonderful hotel. Room was lovely, staff were lovely, very friendly and welcoming. Very comfortable stay. Had breakfast on two of the mornings and loved it, stayed in many Premier Inn's before but this particular hotel has been a favourite of mine. We love our time here!

C Carter: We stayed in one of the newly r refurbished rooms and it was lovely. Beds for super comfy and the pillows were also great. The gym was well equipped and really well laid out. There is parking next door and we had view of the park. They were under construction outside and had some road works as well making the entrance a little complicated, otherwise it would have a 5 star review.Walkability: Shopping centre is just nextdoor with food and other great shops. There is a lovely park across the street.

Maddy Austin: Location: 5/5

Mike Nelhams: You would struggle to have a better location. The front desk staff were lovely and answered all our questions. We booked the breakfast and it was pretty good all things considered. The rooms are pretty good with a view of Bristol city. Ensuite shower and bath. Hairdryer included. Honestly it was great, perhaps a bit on the expensive side.

Roy Hill: Lovely staff particularly Mark in the restaurant, comfy bed, great food, only down side was the dining room toilet had no toilet paper for the 3 hour we were there .Food & drinks: Good choice of food at a very reasonable price, and Mark our waiter went out his way to help.

sarah good: My room was larger than expected. Huge, comfortable bed, and super clean. Although the hotel was in the city centre, I was not disturbed by traffic or people, and I got a great nights sleep. The staff were kind, and the location was incredible- right in the city centre, and only 5 minutes walk from the train station. I'd highly recommend this hotel to anyone coming to Bristol.

Stefano Flammini: Hotel highlights Quiet

edmund gamson: Hotel highlights Quiet, Great value

Sonal Sharma: Nice experience

Lee Evans: Perfect location for our motion event. No complaints about the room as it was spotless. Nice to see the bathroom was full of shower gel, shampoo and conditioner.Really friendly staff at the desk.

Mercure Bristol Grand Hotel: what do users think?

Lewis Roach: The rooms were clean and had everything I needed. Obviously it's a great location. The service was very professional but I took off a star due to a bit of trouble they had managing an event at the same time I was here, which they did alright but not seamlessly. Removing another because I tried the in hotel restaurant and that food is basic at best and overpriced so go somewhere else to eat if you can.

Duncan Barnett: Very accommodating.

Paul Berkley: This was our fourth or fifth stay at The Grand. We love the quirkiness of the bedrooms and decore. Just look at the pictures on the walls and the lighting for a start. Plus the car park maybe tight but it's better than sticking it in NCP. The staff were very friendly and kindly upgraded us. The location of this hotel in the Old City is brilliant and very close to the main shopping centre and a short walk from the Theatre, the Quay area and restaurants. You'll be pleased you stayed here. We'll be back, and that's for sure.Rooms: The rooms are very quirky with wardrobes that look lime their from a factory changing rooms and lighting and bedside tables from a school nursery. Great fun with a great affect. It's worth paying extra for an upgrade for a bigger bed, though.

Harry Mckeown: Had a good stay but not sure why it says there is a gym and swimming pool etc. Booked strictly because of this and was told on checkin that they don’t have any of these facilities.
