Bristol Martial Arts Academy: what do users think?

Natalie: My daughter has been part of Bristol Martial arts academy since she was 4 and loves every single class she attends. She is now 8 and in junior dragons. My son has just turned 4 and equally loving it. Massively helps with both their confidence levels. Highly recommend

Gillena Campbell: Both of my boys have been coming to BMAA since they were young, my eldest having just achieved his black belt and his brother is not far off. The Sensei’s and Academy team have given them encouragement, confidence and self belief. Martial arts is a great way for them to keep active, but also build friendships, learn how to work as a team and develop a can do attitude. We love being a part of the Academy.

Russell Brown: Great place for the kids to burn of some energy!

Sarah Lewis: A year ago my son found himself on the receiving end of bullying within his primary school class, which came to a head in a violent incident after school. Not being a fighter, he had no idea how to defend himself. We persuaded him to attend a trial session at BMAA, not only to learn how to defend himself but also to rebuild his fragile confidence.A year on, we have sent a much more confident boy on to his secondary school journey. He absolutely loves attending his classes and has made lots of friends. Very early on he said he already had his eyes on a future black belt and he was genuinely surprised when he realised he was building strength and resilience as well as learning to kickbox. As he struggles to get his head around new things and follow lists of instructions, he has always resisted any suggestion of joining teams - he was afraid of looking silly or letting his teammates down. Here he is only competing with himself. When he first starting learning the moves, I could see the fear in his eyes, but he quickly learned that the repetition of sequences worked in his favour, and if he is struggling to learn something new, he knows the incredible leadership team will help and guide him. I would 100% recommend BMAA to anyone, especially for kids needing a confidence boost.

Review Maniac: ,a beginner or introvert

Martin Keegan: My daughter has been going for a couple of months now and this is her 1st grading. Coaches and staff are very helpful and friendly. Was recommended by my niece and I would recommend this place to all my family and friends. My daughter has always been shy and it is helping her grow in confidence with every lesson.

Tony Morgan: BMAA my son absolutely loves his lessons being taught by amazing teachers in a safe and secure environment learning martial arts gives him discipline that he will carry in his life

Rebecca Morgan: My brother loves it here and all of the staff and members are lovely 😊

Ian Garforth: My daughter loves this. Really connected and personal instructors who get the best out of her. She loves the structure of the grading program which always gives her something to aim for. We look forward to her continued progress!

Hajnalka Cseh: Amazing place for kids to learn.

Anyah besciak: Awesome place, Sensei’s engage with kids. Our son really enjoys.

Fatima Islam: Great place -The whole family love coming and attending the different sessions. Teaches LO discipline routine and lots of fun

Jay Marie Hatfield-Griffiths: Fantastic place, amazing community and brilliant, down-to-Earth instructors. Classes are varied and engaging with homework set to encourage discipline

Abbie Delaney: Amazing place to give your child confidence. Archie absolutely enjoys his self at BMAA, highly recommend it!

Kane Duffy: Both our children attend the Bristol Martial Arts Academy & absolutely love it. We've found it great for there confidence, fitness & discipline.

Kate Dawes: Really good instructors really friendly

Bristol Titans Krav Maga: what do users think?

Tasha Collingham: Jim is so welcoming, such a brilliant class. I was worried to join as I’m not exactly the fittest especially when it comes to cardio but most of the exercises can be adapted and Jim definitely pushes the right amount. Was expecting to just do one or two classes but now am hooked!

Rowan Berry: Started at the Titans around 3 months ago and it is absolutely brilliant! I started with no martial art/fighting experience but everyone is willing to help and Jim is an awesome instructor! Amazing atmosphere, amazing group of people to train with, would highly recommend to anyone!

George Lilley: Bristol Titans Krav Maga is second to none!Jim is an unbelievable coach with buckets of experience. Highly recommend to all ages and fitness levels.

David K: Bristol Titans Krav Maga is a fantastic group. Jim Halton always stays current with training techniques and current events in order to train for realistic situations. I am grateful to be a member of this group.

Tris Williams: This is a superb club with Jim being a really knowledgeable and engaging instructor. The training is hard but enjoyable and it’s a great community of likeminded folk. The kids class is also brilliant.

Rich Pearce: Jim is a great instructor, very friendly class, caters for all levels, no nonsense, very practical training and a very good work out! If you put the work in you will see good results, highly recommend 💪🏼💪🏼

Maverick: This club is perfect for all levels of expierence including complete new comers. The club is friendly and professional. The drills are full contact with a mix of grappling, muay thai and krav maga. Not only is it great for the skills but also for the physical fitness every session starts with about 10 minutes of warming up usually with some AMRAP exercises to get the blood pumping.Worth every penny.

Paulina Aktar: Bristol Titans are great! Jim is an excellent coach and the team members are super friendly and always ready to help.Whether you want to see if Krav Maga is for you or you want to improve the skills you have already gained further, Bristol Titans is the right place for you.Highly recommend!

Simon Pole: Jim and the team at Bristol Titans academy are consistently superb and also really friendly. There is a high level of respect, camaraderie and value for safety throughout the club which has been instilled and not come by chance.Technically the training is extremely well rounded with a consistent practical approach.Personally it has helped me progress physically and also mentally through some very difficult times. I have developed courage but also been tempered with humility. The effort that goes in to the classes is very much appreciated. 👌

Simon Lawson: I’ve been doing Krav Maga for just over a year now and absolutely love it. It’s a great way to improve your fitness and Jim will guide you with what you should concentrate on. Great Assistant Coaches hard but fair and really informative to help with your technique. Great members of all abilities and good humour as well. All round can’t recommend it for all comers.

Gareth Baker: awesome and friendly club, fantastic teacher and very helpful assistant instructors. Great mix of fitness and different skills [padwork, grabbling , weapons defence] with the instructor always on hand to help in any way he can, one of the most dedicated and enthusiastic people I've met. Also training multiple days a week so very flexible. Feel so much better in myself physically and mentally since I started training here, highly recommended

Rachael MacLeod: Really excellent classes and a safe and supportive environment. Jim explains things well and is very patient. My strength, fitness and confidence in Krav has improved hugely. As a woman in a largely male dominated club, I feel very safe and included equally with the men. It’s the highlight of my week and I cannot recommend Jim and Bristol Titans highly enough.

Matthew Fowles: I started Krav Maga training 6 months ago.I have tried a few different art forms out over the years and got to a brown belt in Kickboxing.I have to say how amazing Krav Maga is and The Bristol Titans is brilliant club to train at.Jim Halton is an absolute gent and an amazing coach. What I love about the training is everyone trains together whether you are an experienced fighter or a beginner.Everyone at the club is very helpful if you can’t get your head around something then your training partner will help you out.I’ve got to be honest I thought I was quite fit until I started training at Bristol Titans. In the space of a couple of months I found my fitness level greatly improve. Now an old boy like me can keep up with the rest of the class.I would strongly recommend Jim and The Bristol Titans to any one wanting to learn self-defence or build their self esteem or if you find other forms of fitness training boring. You won’t have time to get bored at this club.

Jon G: Highly knowledgeable, friendly coach who leads high intensity sessions that cater to people's abilities and are adjusted to develop people's weak points.

Oliver Evans: Fantastic club, no egos, top quality tuition and a great workout every time. Couldn't recommend more highly.

benmp309: I joined a year ago as a complete newbie and I've been coming back every week. My skills and my confidence have grown with the excellent coaching and support. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend.

Daniel Byrne: Having no real martial arts experience I wasn’t sure what to expect when I joined however, any anxiety or doubt soon disappeared as Jim and the other members were so welcoming. With Jim’s knowledge, experience, passion and sense of humour, every session is taught in a way that all ability levels can understand. Jim is always there to help and guide you as are all the other members which makes for a great atmosphere.I always leave each session with a buzz having learnt something new and dripping in sweat from head to toe!

Bristol Krav Maga (KMG) City Centre: what do users think?

Ryan E: Very happy to have joined Bristol Krav Maga.Great bunch of people to train with and learn from.

Holly Auld: . There is a great social element to the club too, everyone is friendly and supportive and it is a great way to open up social circles. Long story short, anyone who is intrigued in starting Krav - do it! You won't regret it :

Jack Fuller: Great training = great results. Excellent level of teaching and a real nice bunch of people, no egos.

Ryan Clements: An amazing way to get fitter, stronger and learn a valuable life skill! The club is welcoming and supportive while pushing you to achieve your full potential.I would recommend this to anyone!

dan l: BKM provides fun training exercises for strength, fitness and unique self defence skills. It also teaches good self discipline leaving the mind rebooted and refreshed.Well demonstrated and clear explanations, considerate of students' different learning methods and the instructors will find a way to teach you new skills and techniques.Great group and brilliant instructors. Definitely recommend.

Chris Parsons: Great fun, very friendly atmosphere and excellent instructors, felt part of the team from day one! Has been a safe but challenging way to learn a new skill, I definitely recommend!

Clare Ogden: I've been training here for five months now and it's brilliant. Kelly is a fantastic teacher, and everyone is welcoming. I'd never done martial arts before and wanted somewhere fun, challenging, safe and friendly to push myself outside my comfort zone. Bristol Krav Maga is all of that. Can't recommend enough.

William Price - Personal: Been at the club for 3/4 months’ now. I really enjoy the classes and the variety of the routines. After warm-up, Kelly puts us through some pretty strenuous fitness followed by the focus of the class which could be anything from sparring, to defence against knives or bats etc. You normally train in pairs so you get to work with somebody different each session. The club is incredibly diverse and welcoming with people from all walks of life! I just wish I could train twice a week, every week! If you like a challenge then get in touch with the club, you won’t regret it.

José Nogueira: I highly recommend BKM to anyone from a new starter to a seasoned Krav Maga practitioner.I trained at BKM for four years and it was a truly rewarding journey. I chose BKM to have the proper training as it is the only KMG certified school in Bristol, and I certainly got it. On top of that, I became fit and more confident through time which improved all aspects of my life from professional to personal.I have to say one thing that makes BKM stand out is the sense of community the instructor Kelly fosters in every class. Not only everyone is treated equally, but Kelly is also super supportive towards students' development, making sure senior students also support new starters' onboarding. And if one wants to grade, Kelly will be there every step of the way to make sure one is ready to nail it.So if you you're thinking about joining a Krav Maga school, think no more and book that trial lesson with BKM. I can assure you, it will be worth it!

Soizic Hagege: BKM is amazing on all fronts - everyone is welcoming, Kelly is a fantastic teacher and training is always a blast. KMG is challenging in just the right ways, and true to both the techniques and spirit of Krav Maga. Can't recommend enough.

Flynn Richards: Are you looking to learn a priceless life skill at a club that is highly inclusive, fantastic value for money, challenging and enjoyable?Ive been training with Bristol Krav Maga around a year and a half and don't plan on stopping any time soon. Every session teaches you something new and something that could save your life or that of a loved one. The latest approach of the club has been to blend MMA alongside traditional Krav Maga. This really has taken BKM to the next level. Whether you're Male, Female, an experienced fighter or have never thrown a punch BKM can accommodate. A truly great club.

Chris Woodfield: Really positive atmosphere where people encourage each other to learn and progress.

Robin Lewis: Had never done anything like this before but everybody's incredibly friendly and welcoming and its proving a great way to get fit and learn some new skills.

James Hurst: Very welcoming and friendly club, with good instructors dedicated to teaching self defence using authentic Israeli krav maga

Daniel Baber: school – what you get therefore at this club is genuinely authentic instruction, from the excellent Kelly and Sam, at a local level but which is able to tap into the global KMG network

Hadrien Fruton: Really good krav maga club. The instructors are knowledgeable not just on the techniques but also on the background and reasoning behind them. They other guys training are really friendly, they don't get a big head because they are at a high grade, it has a bit of a family spirit. Also, as it is a KMG club, you can attend seminars and camps all around the world and train in different KMG clubs if you travel. If you join, you won't become a ninja in two months, but with dedication and regularity you'll get stronger, more confident and above all you'll learn how to defend yourself in different situations and against a wide range of weapons and attacks.I definitely recommend it!

Ben McMelvin: Bristols only KMG Krav Maga club. A great friendly club who make everybody feel welcome no matter your experience.

HW: Great place to train krav maga. Very experienced and knowledgeable instructors.Great community.Well recommended.

David Szego: The only KMG club in Bristol. Learn from the source!

Meg Bean: Great club, friendly supportive atmosphere. No two classes are the same so it never gets boring. Lots of fun with great instructors, could not recommend highly enough.
