Laura Carolina: , which I found interesting - I’ve read Tracy Chevalier’s novel, Remarkable Creatures, and I’ve been to Lyme Regis, so I enjoyed seeing some of Anning’s actual finds. The museum has very good geology and paleontology sections. There is fine artwork on the top floor, as well as ceramics, glass and several other departments. Free, but donations encouraged. There’s a café on the ground floor.

Cabot Tower: what do users think?

Richard Stryzyk: Amazing view from the top well worth the climb

Alex Hall: Fantastic view from here

Khiem Nguyen: Fun tower to climb up. The climb is tight so it's essentially single-file. Especially the highest part of the tower. But you have a great view of the entire area when you finally get to the very top. The stairs get more and more treacherous as you climb up.Visited on Weekday Wait time No wait Reservation recommended No …

Brandon Hill: what do users think?

Khiem Nguyen: Huge park. Very challenging to go up around cause the hills are really steep but the views and the maintenance of this hill is primo. I'd say if you're gonna go, make sure your legs are in working order first, but I will add that it should be worth it. There are streams and ponds scattered throughout, however, there are no fish in the ponds :/

Glad': Great city view, high city park

Tim Husain: Lovely park, it's very hilly so be prepared. Great views across the city from top and has the beautiful Cabot tower.

Ali IAG: Perfect

Taku Yasu: Nice view of the city. The tower was great and well maintained, though bit rusty. Sad to see so many people left garbage in gardens and tower windows.

Rex Zhang: The hill in the urban area and the tower on the top can overlook the whole city. It is worth visiting.

Rowan Mead: excellent views.

Jim Broom: Nice place to visit with family

Lara Nothnagel: Beautiful place, great views, well maintained.

Peter Bloemendaal: Nice park with lots of squirrels

Brunel's SS Great Britain: what do users think?

Linda: This is a fab place to visit, definitly go under the water in the dry dock area, its fascinating. A good 2.5hrs spent.Visited on Weekday Wait time No wait Reservation recommended Yes …

David Ballantyne: Exhibitions and ship are fantastic - so well presented, accessible and documented. Very helpful and knowledgeable volunteer guides, happy to interact with visitors.Downside and major let-down is the cafe - untrained staff, slow service and very poor food. Fish pie with little fish and stuck to ramekin, dried up lasagne, etc. Awful!

Vaughan Hinsley: Always a pleasure

Rhoslyn Aguirre Ramirez: . Everything we did see taught the kids a lot and I had a great time too.The only thing that did affect our visit was that one of the lifts was broken and that meant I couldn't take them down to the lower deck as I couldn't leave the baby's pram behind. I was thinking how that would make me feel if I were using a wheelchair. Other than that, everything was great and we look forward to coming back soon.

Kevin Warrington: Most impressive and clear why it is the number one attraction in Bristol. The ship is easy to access with hidden lifts for those with restricted mobility. Well laid out displays with amusing sound effects and helpful, chatty guides. Only negative is that the entry is disorganised if you have bought tickets in advance - there are "ticket holders this way" signs to bypass the ticket desks, but then they send you back to check in at the ticket desk. I thought it was a little expensive, but if you gift aid the entrance it is valid for a year if you are able to return

Damon Rees: . When you walk into the main area you are greeted by the stern of the ship and an old Victorian boatyard. You can tour the upper deck, lower decks and beneath the ship. Each area has its own little secrets and info boards for you to discover, and there is another area outside of the ship that shows small trinkets recovered from the ship. After you've finished exploring the ship you are not far away from the city centre or wapping wharf to grab thing to eat .

Tim Langford: Totally awesome.Got to meet Mr Brunel himself and he told me about what he got up to in Bristol whilst taking a lovely stroll. He has stickers too.Best place evah. You should go.

Stephen Lewis: Only had chance to visit the gift shop but will definitely return, for the full visit.

Richard Taylor: A wonderful tourist attraction. I recommend taking the ferry to cross habour to it. The ticket includes a view from the dry dock below the boat and a visit to a museum dedicated to it's constructing - as well as an exhibit for Brunel. Just before getting on the boat, I recommend grabbing a crew or passenger card from the Dry Dock museum and trying to find the luggage that matches it on the boat! It's a great way to explore this historic marvel.

Lea: A wealth of information awaits! It's a super way to spend a few hours in Bristol. Heartily recommend visiting whether boats are your thing or not - an immersive display of engineering and british history, suitable for all ages.Visited on Weekend Wait time No wait Reservation recommended Yes …

Ruth Reeves: Fascinating to see a ship likely similar to the one my great grandparents travelled to New Zealand on. I could not imagine living In the cramped conditions on board for the months the journey would have taken!Visited on Weekday Wait time No wait Reservation recommended No …

Blake Marshall: Visited on Weekend Wait time No wait Reservation recommended Not sure

Ann Warrington: This is the first time I have visited here and it was well worth. There is a lot to see apart from the ship with a very interesting video about rescuing and bringing the ship back from the Falklands to Bristol. There are lifts to use on the ship to get to the lower levels.Very good cafe just outside the shop entrance to the ship.

Marian Lord: Absolutely beautiful and brilliant to be able to get around the ship, as I'm disabledVisited on Weekday Wait time No wait Reservation recommended Not sure …

Lee Charlton: At good few hours worth of entertainment in this family friendly free musium. The museum is a potted history of Bristol based in a rejuvenated storage depot. Centrally located in a lively area with plenty of choices for dinning just round the corner if the Musium dinner doesn't meet your taste. The Musium requests a £5 donation, so it's worth coming armed with a little cash. When we were there Saturday PM there was an historic steam train running back and forth along the water front.

Rose Cull: This tells the story of Bristol and industrial history. Great for families.Visited on Weekend Wait time No wait Reservation recommended Not sure …

junkybabes: It was great to see this wonder of engineering up close. The visitor centre shows plans for other bids or designs which were rejected.Looking over the edge of the bridge was a bit daunting.

Abdul Omooba: The visitor centre is a must visit, platora of information about the bridge and many more items, ideas, construction and many more. The kids loved the education centre, building the bridges etc.I'll recommend a visit.

Irina Andreeva: This visitor centre is situated on the Leigh Woods side of the bridge. Not big premises but well presented, indeed; it contains displays and artefacts explaining the history, construction and maintenance of this world-famous symbol of the city of Bristol. A lot of interactive exhibitions; educational and great fun, especially for children. There's also a retail area that has postcards, greetings cards, magnets and souvenirs of the Clifton Suspension Bridge.12 vaulted chambers were discovered inside the Leigh Woods Abutment in 2002. Tour and workshops available! Great experience!

Charles McLaughlin: The walk across the bridge and the view from the Observatory are enjoyable but this was the first time I had done the Underground vaults visit, where you are taken into the chambers below the Leigh wood side. Definitely a treat for under 14s, getting to wear hard hats and high vis jackets and climbing down metal ladder to entrance. The grandsons loved it but I was equally amazed, especially as had never heard of it before. Lovely informative guide and great fun. Book in advance.
