Poppy M: had a drink here with a friend, lovely little place - really nice selection of drinks from the fridge, especially a raspberry beer that i can't remember the name of but was delicious. staff were very friendly, the woman working was very personable and offered me a sample of one of the ciders on tap, much appreciated! they were also happy to let my friend charge her phone and let us stay a little late in the outdoor seating. little things that made it very nice! cheers!
Lewis Hatfull: Harbour beers in the sun. What more could you ask for.
Nigel Griffiths: Really enjoyed it in here. Just sat drinking various cans we bought from the fridge.
Steven Halkett: beers. Can't fathom why he doesn't have 5* across the board. Visit if you can.
Nikki Millar: Tasty beers and nice service
Helen Whelton: Friendly staff. Great selection of beers in the fridge and on tap.
Andras Ocskai: Friendly atmosphere and great variety of drinks

William Whatley: The Beer Emporium is always my recommendation to people who come for a drink in Bristol. The vibe of this place is really awesome and the alcohol is really nice!Wheelchair accessibility: Very steep stairs, may be an elevator.
Marko Jovic: Pleasant place with live music.
haych3: Nice beer list
Reece Thorneycroft: I really loved the chilled and relaxed vibe here, made it an enjoyable conversation and pint. Lots of choice in terms of drinks too so you can’t knock that. My inner student did cry with the prices but that’s something you just firm lol.Great establishment

Reece Thorneycroft: Nice establishment for a nice pint. Good choice on the drinks. Places feels open, airy and relaxed. Located right next to Christmas Steps too so if you’ve come down to bristol to do a bit of sightseeing, this provides a welcoming treat for walking up all those steps 😭Enjoyed my relaxed chats and time there 👍

Mark “MarcoPolo”: were as welcoming and cheerful as it gets. Atmosphere was the best ever. Just what you might expect visiting Clifton… warm wood, relics, and memorabilia abound! The owners, Paul and Dee were a great couple, sharing duties Paul
Evgeniya Anisimova: Lovely pub that represents the Bristolian vibe. Great beers on tap, homemade food and always a fun chat to the staff and the regulars. No children or large groups are allowed, which makes it a unique 'proper pub' experience. The Portcullis a pub where you can actually have a conversation with a friend, or a chill drink and a book on your own. Would recommend!
Justyna Lacka: This is the best pub in Bristol. It is incredibly friendly, welcoming, and one of a very few places with a genuine and unique atmosphere. The owners are brilliant and clearly put their hearts into the decor, music, and beers they stock. They have rules - like no kids, no entry after 10 pm, and no large groups - which seem to upset some tourists, but are greatly appreciated by the locals. Thank you for being exactly as you are and for not bending to demands of people with no taste.Vegetarian options: There is always a tasty veggie option on the menu
George Tanner: this is a licensing restriction - and long may this restriction stay in place!I also know that if I walked into a bar of this size, swearing at the top of my lungs, I would also expect to be asked to leave- if you don’t like the rules the owners have in place, get your own bar and make your own rules. I’m sure it won’t be long to understand how hard working with public can be
Sarah Smith: so it's a perfect escape for an exceptional pint with the other half!
Karen Wickham: Friendly pub with a small, cosy bar area downstairs and a bigger seating area upstairs. Great Sunday roasts, cask beers in perfect condition, and one of the best ranges of Belgian beer in Bristol.

Rich Hepburn: Extra gravy was available, and an array of condiments. Good selection of beers and ciders, friendly staff, nice atmos in the garden on a Sunday afternoon.
Gabriel Fishlock: Excellent mothers' day roast!! Friendly service, great selection of beers & ales. Lovely proper pub atmosphere, food portions were generous for the price - which is on the cheaper side for a roast at a pub these days. Child's size option was exceptional value for money as well. Looking forwards to checking out their events later this year. Will be returning!!Kid-friendliness: Quality of child's menu was amazing!
Indra dos Santos Martinez: One of the nicest pubs an lovely bar staff. Have been here couple times on my own or with friends, great selection of drinks and sometimes we would come here for quiz’s evenings. Also I had lost my phone and my phone was handed in in this pub and they were so lovely to keep my phone safe till I came back and collected it. Thank you so much for that. Definitely recommend to come and visit this cosy pub.
Michael Murphy: Little bit small inside but has an excellent garden
