Bristol Hippodrome: what do users think?

r mcgrady: Great venue and a great show

Christian Burch: Fantastic original Victorian theatre.

annette smith: Lovely theatre, great show. Card only though...bit of a nuisance.

Graham Benjamin: Excellent show JC Superstar. As always staff amazing

Nicholas . G Panter: Went to see Jesus Christ Superstar great production great night out

Blue Bones: were a well oiled machine - was served by Becca on the bar who was an absolute delight and remembered my order for the interval. Throughly enjoyable experience.

Jo R: We have watched a few things now at the hippodrome it's by far the best 🎥 theater we have been to. Wicked was amazing first part of the performance the theater was soooo hot the air con wasn't on so we were glad to get a drink during the interval,It was pretty manic as well only down side really. Second part of the performance was a lot more cooler and manageable. Door staff were great did a great job of getting everyone in swiftly definitely worth trying out.

TGM DESIGN: This is the second show that I have attended at the hippodrome, and it was thoroughly enjoyable. I watched the life of pi, and we got seating on the upper deck despite it being all the way at the top, the view was still very good and the price was very reasonable , I will be back again for another visit. Look forward to seeing Hamilton. I had previously seen Sweeney Todd and it was one of the best showings that I’ve ever seen. My parents went to watch Lemis they found that to be transformative. The set design was truly magical. It takes you away from reality and set you right in the fantastical world that you’re watching. I recommend that you book your tickets in advance online and parking is at Trenchard parking behind the hippodrome. Only a couple minutes walk away reasonably priced parking.

C KM: surrounded by an interesting array of pubs, bars and restaurants.Inside, the theatre has bar areas on different floors, though they can quickly become very busy and crowded before the opening of a show. Hot drinks are only served in the ground floor bar.Seats are comfortable but there is very little leg room, even for short people!Staff are incredibly professional, helpful and efficient. At the end of the show, it is a very slow process to get out, due to sheer numbers of people, steep steps and narrow stairwells.

Peter Brent: Wonderful venue, helpful staff, for a superb show

Barrie S: Amazing old theater.

Paul Smith: Watched Wicked, absolutely fantastic, the Hippodrome is a lovely venue, the seats are not the most comfortable, but still a great traditional theatre.

Carol Cox: Wicked was wicked! The stars voices blended so beautifully and the cast were also amazing. So glad I went to see it.

Benjamin Hookes: Beautiful theatre. We watched Wicked with a group of 30 children and the staff could not have been more helpful. A fabulous evening.

NickD 93: Love this Theatre ! ... Never been disappointed with any of the shows l've seen here over the years ... A really beautiful building ... Still well worth a visit.

Olympus & Studio 22 Theatre at the Bristol Institute of Performing Arts: what do users think?

Rhian Brimble: Friendly staff and excellent stage and equipment

Peter Wiggins: Great space for watching theatre, no columns to impede your view, plenty of toilets, pay to park

Bill Taylor: Saw a great show, Shrek, plenty of leg room, tiered seating, good view of stage.

archie baxter: Great theatre luvved every second of carrie . Also saw matilda and the techicians and cast did and incredibubble job

Dana Pätzold: Very good. Just the coffee they serve is terrible.

Helen Davies: Superb Cinderella staged by students and ex students. Would have given 5 stars if the steps had handrails.

Mike Kleinsteuber: One of the few theatres in the Bristol area that caters for amateurs. Highly recommended

Karen Marillier: I attend this theatre regularly for a fitness event. It's a nice place but a shame the cafe is hardly ever open when we're there.A pay and display has been in operation the past year! Fortunately as I'm working at the event i dont pay for parking but i wouldn't be very happy if I had to pay.

Jim Buckley: Good theatreComfortable seating
