Ruby cat: Updated in light of Halford's (almost instant) cut and paste standard answer below (and star rating knocked down by one star for the useless response).Bog standard customer services response convinces me that contacting customer service about this would be a pointless waste of my time as nothing is going to happen or they would have given some better indication of "how they will use this as a learning experience."Rather than trying to fob off your (ex) customers with standard responses why don't you actually say how you are going to respond to the constructive feedback you have been given. Sadly it appears that any customer care in this country has long since died off.Original review is below:Went to get headlamp bulb replaced. Paid for fitting and new bulb before guy came out to fit it. Chap seemed to struggle with getting bulb out then said (correctly) that his fiddling around had caused the (existing) bulb to come back on again. Offered a refund on new bulb (as it wasn't needed) but I said i'd keep it as a spare. Drove off with both headlamps working but a day later headlamp had gone again and no amount of fiddling will get it back on.Thought about returning to Halfords to get new bulb properly fitted but it's a way away so think I'll just ask the local garage who do all my other car repairs. MOT is due soon anyway.In hindsight I think Halfords should have replaced the bulb anyway rather than saying it looks like the existing bulb is OK and letting me drive off. Maybe I should have known better but, in fairness, they are the "experts" and i was paying them for their "expertise" which wasn't delivered on this occasion.I'm £15 out of pocket and still at square one with a non functioning headlight (I do have a spare bulb but don't know how to fit it). I've put it down to experience/ lesson learned.Feedback for Halfords - in light of this poor experience I doubt I will be buying from them again. Never say never but...Shame for them as both I and my son spend a fair bit on cycling some of which has been going to Halfords - but probably no more.
