Saltaire Art School follows classical techniques set out by Great Masters such as Leonardo da Vinci or Raphael, we will explore a range of subjects starting with basic geometrical 3D shapes and finishing with a Life Drawing session.

4worldlovers: Working with our team of expert tutors, we offer an exciting programme of arts and crafts workshops and courses, from painting, drawing and glass to ceramics and textiles. We have many classes suitable for beginners but also cater for those looking to enhance existing skills.

4worldlovers: South Square is a collection of 19th Century workers cottages, in the old Yorkshire village of Thornton, famous for its Brontë connections and its impressive 20-arch viaduct.

Renovated as a community arts centre in 1982, South Square Centre is now home to ten studio spaces for a variety of artists, as well as a gallery, community spaces, archive, fine art framers, bar and a cafe.

The centre hosts community events and activities for all ages, including an ongoing workshop programme and provides community spaces available to hire.

A group of local community organisers with support from South Square, have put forward a proposal to purchase the Brontë Birthplace in Thornton.

The building would be turned into a cafe, accommodation and offer events and outreach projects inspired by the Brontë legacy.

We have 4 weeks to raise £20k to put towards match funding, including an application to the Community Ownership Fund.

South Square Centre is currently recruiting new trustees and a Chair for our Board.

We are looking for people who are interested in becoming active trustees, who can advocate for the organisation, attend South Square events, and are committed to taking on the responsibilities of becoming a charity trustee. We would like to offer new trustees training to support them in their role at the organisation.

Founded in 1984, Stage 84 is a leading force in the provision of performing arts training for young people in Yorkshire. We welcome boys and girls from 3 years of age upwards to early 18+, offering classes in Performing Arts, Drama Workshop, Contemporary Dance, Street and Freestyle Dance, Speech and Drama, Singing & Vocal Coaching and more. Thousands of young people have attended Stage 84, either for recreation, or to train specifically for a career in the performing arts industries. Students are guided by experienced, professional staff. We aim to inspire enjoyment and achievement in the arts and develop the self confidence and expression of the individual. We are based in large, purpose-fitted facilities in Bradford and also offer further classes at venues in Skipton and Burley-in-Wharfedale.
