ada dhimitri: Location is great, close to the beach and close to the center. The hotel is quite run down but the service was good. The bed was a bit squeaky and not very comfortable. But it was okay.Breakfast in the morning is the usual English breakfast. The rooms only have hand soap so make sure to bring your own shampooBreakfast times are from 9 to 10 or 10:30 on weekends,

Karl Smith: We were really impressed with this hotel. It has character and charm and the people that were running it for the owners were really friendly and helpful. We only used it as a sleepover as we were flying early in the morning.

Doreen Houpert: The hotel is in new hands after Corona and the new owners are trying very hard to please everyone...It still needs a little timeOtherwise ok for a stay in Bournemouth

adi: and is located close to city centre for easy access to various shops and restaurants and a very cute park located close. It is super clean with plenty of amenities. The bathroom was super clean, room for 4 was spacious with high ceilings and cozy decor. The service and staff was exceptional special thanks to Norie and her daughter Donna for their kindness and adaptability. The breakfast was cooked perfectly with meat and vegetarian options. Is located close to city centre for easy access to various shops and restaurants and a very cute park located close. Personally, I would consider this to be at least a 3-star hotel.

Mr alex: They slayed my friend slipped and broke his toe in the toilet. I hate that guy he was gone for a day five stars ☆☆☆Food & drinks: They slayed

Chris Byron: . Overall pleasant stay.Rooms: 3-5 can fit it many rooms. Great for group bookings.

I Attila Pinter: We are happy. - very recommended.... Nice and clean. We will go back in the future. We can recommend it to those who are interested in it. Clean rooms, good service, close to the beach....Great place

Graham Povey: Clean and tidy but the full English is not worth the £9.95 they charge

Michael Thompson: Lovely friendly hotel. 10 minute walk to the pier. A little tired in places & I personally found the bed far too soft but any negatives are more than out weighed by the staff, super friendly & couldn't do enough to help.

Cristina Ene: Excellent location! Great staff! Good food.Rooms: Nice and cosyWalkability: A beautiful walk in the boardwalkFood & drinks: There is an excellent Thai restaurant right next to it.

Roger Turner: Such a fantastic hotel! The outside facade looks a bit tired and could do with a bit of tlc, but once you get inside the hotel all that goes away. The inside of the hotel is truly luxurious, lovely carpets throughout, good quality fixtures and furniture, I particularly liked the essence which was being pumped around the hotel, even in the lifts! The staff were really attentive, friendly and helpful. The room was excellent, felt very luxurious and the bathroom was exceptional. We had panoramic views of the beach from our room on the fourth floor. We had food in the evening and breakfast in the morning at the Brasserie Blanc and both meals were great. I would definitely stay again.

Anuradha Chakravarthy: Rooms: Spacious rooms. Great decor. We had booked a superior family room and it was comfortable. The hotel was very full. Parking is paid and inspite of paying, it's difficult to find a parking spot when the rooms are full. Very clean premises and attentive staff.Walkability: The hotel has fabulous views of the Atlantic. It's walkable from West Cliff beach and Bournemouth Pier.

paul helm: All good!

Melanie Hudson: The rooms were spacious and clean and the apartment was very big and had a lovely outdoor space to relax too.Rooms: Spacious rooms with comfortable beds and one room has a double bed and ensuite bathroom, the other room is a twin single with plenty of space.Walkability: Short walk to the beach feom the accommodation aswell as a short walk to the town.Noteworthy details: There is a bed settee in the living room that is a double that is quite comfortable.

Howard John Phillips: My wife and I stayed at the Marriott Highcliff for two nights, arriving on Friday 2nd February and leaving on Sunday 4th. The Superior Sea View Room was superb in every respect. The Hotel location, staff, breakfast and ambiance was excellent. In fact we have already another weekend at the Marriott Highcliff on March 15th, 16th and 17th. Look forward to seeing you all again.Nearby activities: My wife and I had a lovely meal on the Friday night at the Aruba Restaurant, which is by the entrance to The Pier.

Gillian Eardley: Really enjoyed our stay ,very helpful staff .Our room was large clean and comfortable.Walkability: Eay to walk around Bournemouth from this location plus many local restaurants.Food & drinks: Good food available and excellent cocktails.

minch89: Travelled as part of a visiting sports team. EXCELLENT service, outstanding food. Staff were attentive, organized and supremely helpful. Couldn't thank them enough for their work

Jacqui Edwards: The food was delicious especially the breakfast as the mushrooms, beans and eggs all tasted flavoursome along with the orange juice. The waiters were helpful and tidy. The swimming pool was clean and the sauna was hot. We had a lovely stay and definitely plan to return. Sue Chan: . It was adequate for me as i just wanted to use a treadmill and x trainer. Gym overlooks the squash courts.Pool looked lovely but i didn't go in.I have to mention 3 members of staff that were absolutely lovely..friendly..helpful..polite and amusing. Dianna on the bar was lovely and memorised my order from the first evening. Luis and Neeta in the dining room were so lovely too and made my stay more enjoyable. Ralph Pouncey: Great Hotel position is ideal and the staff can't do enough for you strongly recommendRooms: 5/5Hotel highlights Great value …

Carl Chelton: Service: 5/5

Helen B: Amazing hotel. The staff were a credit to the hotel. They couldn’t of done enough for you with constant smiles on there faces. They were all amazing. The food was the best we’ve had. The room we had was really big and spacious and a lovely view of the beach. Room 213. The hotel is right opposite the beach and pier and also the BIC. I would highly recommend this hotel.Food & drinks: The food was amazing. Best we’ve had.

Ms Cox: Spent the weekend here. My first visit ot Bournemouth. Very grand hotel. Rooms are nice and lovely staff.Great food too. It's positioned right by the pier and 600 yards from the town centre. Great.

Anjelika Melnikova: Hotel highlights Great view

Kathy McNally: Went for Sunday lunch with friends. Super meal and great service. Will go againFood & drinks: Excellent value

Lyn: Excellent three night stay. Waitress & waiter gave excellent service. Food very good.Rooms: Comfortable with all you needWalkability: Excellent location mainly on the flatFood & drinks: Had breakfast & dinner. Food excellent

Mandi Bassett: when we got to the room, we had been upgraded to a Superior Seaview and my parents to a family room which was right opposite ours. Our room was massive, good size bathroom with bath and overhead shower, we had a smaller lounge section with a sofa, tea coffee making facilities etc , mini fridge, robes, bottle of prosecco, fans, heaters....with a fantastic view of wheel, pier and Xmas lights in the park opposite, bed huge and very comfy. My parents room was also large and they also had a bottle of prosecco - this was a really nice touch - thank you.Our package included Cake and tea/ coffee on arrival, breakfast and dinner for both nights.Breakfast was good and plenty there, although one thing I will say is that it wasn't overly warm, on both mornings the sausages and hash browns were cold - this is my only criticism of this hotel and our stay.Dinner was a 3 course set meal each night with 3 options to chose from and that didn't disappoint, and even better on the first night we had a fantastic singer which was a real treat, she knew how to play the room, the music wasn't too loud so you could still talk yet still enjoy her singing - fantastic. So all in all we had a really lovely stay, the staff were super friendly and hardworking, drinks very reasonable and parking free.Thank you very much for a great stay

iain walker: Spent New Years Eve here for the evening Dinner. Food was good, staff were attentive. The band were ok, but there were just not enough people to create the atmosphere for a New Year's Eve bash. The weather caused cancellations.

Robert W: I went into the Hermitage Hotel Bournemouth for lunch when I was staying in Bournemouth. The Reception Manager recognized me from previous stays. Even though I hadn't been back for sometime. She asked why I hadn't been back and I explained that they had stopped serving food in the bar in the evenings.I had the fish cakes and poached eggs which were delicious.I was looked after by Armataj. Message to management. Look after him, he is good.

Julie Stewart: was a bit of a let down but wasn’t expecting much for the price. Had a lovely massage and facial though.

Julia Seeber: Rooms: Large nice spacious roomsNearby activities: Close to town centre with loads of stuff to do and places to eatWalkability: Easy 10 minute walk from town centre

Sonia Gilfillian: There was no toilet rolls in room but was bought up immediately after we called. The spa was amazing but need sign for slippery floor. TV kept going high and low, waited about 25 mins for dinner after ordering but was really nice when it arrived but i would suggest they should give guest bread and butter whilst writing. Found red bits in chicken and was offered a free drink for both of us. Breakfast was fantastic and really friendly and helpful staff.Overall was a fantastic stay for the 2 nights and I have already recommended it to friends and family. Thank you.Rooms: Very clean.Nearby activities: Pier very closely within walking distance.Walkability: 1 minute to beach front with lovely views.Food & drinks: Breakfast fantastic

Tom Lee: Can't fault this hotel. Staff were accommodating, has good facilities. Breakfast was good. We even had dinner one night and food was amazing value and tasted great! The building definitely has character but is in good condition for its age and has been modernised in places. Pool and spa were good as well as bar area and access to beach and town for walks. If you don't want to park onsite for £15 you might be lucky enough to find on-street free parking or the local council parking is £4.70 a day out of seasonRooms: Basic but clean and comfortable

lauradee giles: or suffer with a physical disability perhaps ask at time of booking for a bigger shower or bath as it was tiny! I struggled to wash and bumped my head twice! Even getting through the tiny door was a mission! Shame as otherwise bathroom was spotlessly clean and shower itself was good. Location is fab, short walk into town and very close the some lovely walks or take the steps straight down the the beach, where there is a lovely harvester with outdoor seating right on the beach, also many cafes and a lovely seafood resturant. The breakfast was buffae style, which was hot with plenty of option and really good. A shout out really is deserved for the lovely lady that greeted us for breakfast each morning

Paul Berry: Nice hotel and friendly staffRooms: Nice roomFood & drinks: Breakfast was great 👍

David Latham: Visited this hotel for the first time, a Christmas break, and travelled with Leon's Holidays coach company from Stafford. I was very impressed with the hotel, cleanliness, comfort, and food, which was very nicely presented and tasty.Rooms: The room I had was a family room, although only me in it, but very nice, clean and comfortable. Don't know what other rooms were like, only what I was told. All rooms were onsuite, with TV, and a hair dryer. My room 106 had an iron and ironing board as well as tea and coffee making. Walk in shower.Nearby activities: At this time of year, there are not a lot of local amenities within walking distance, if mobility is an issue.Walkability: The Dorset Coast is not really suitable for people with mobility issues. Although the position of the hotel, at this time of year, buses do run into Bournemouth and Poole, the M1 & M2 service every 5-6 minutes, but is a walk to the stops. The breezer open top buses do run from near the hotel, but limited service at this time of year.Food & drinks: Hotel, as mentioned, food I thought was very good and nicely presented. The bar was reasonably well stocked, and prices as expected for a hotel. As this was a Christmas organised trip, with three coaches, only water on the tablets, if you required alcoholic drinks, you needed to take into the restaurant with you.

Ubon Rayworth: Hotel highlights Kid-friendly

Natalie L: A bit of an uphill walk from the beach but we had a really enjoyable afternoon here in the bar and the barman was extremely attentive. He made some very impressive cocktails and he really seemed to go above and beyond with keeping the bar area and tables clean, which was lovely to see. We even came back the next day for an evening meal in the restaurant and again, the staff were friendly and the food was good.

Richard Allen: Stayed here for two nights, including Valentines Day. Upgraded to a Signature Double, which was equipped with a host of features, including a good complementary hospitality tray, iron/board, great WiFi, a fantastic shower.Meals were excellent, and the breakfast offered was a very good choice, including the Dorset..... a full English, Smoked Salmon, Porridge, Pancakes, Croissants, Poached Haddock, and the usual Cereals, Yoghurt, and fresh fruits. Unlimited tea and coffee plus Juices. The Valentines evening meal was excellent in value, presentation and taste. The following evening we dined again in the Gold restaurant, I had fish pie, which was excellent, but I would have liked a larger portion. Hotel is kept spotless clean, with polite helpful staff. It has a swimming pool, Hot Tub/ Jacuzzi, Sauna. Ideally located about 5-10mins to the sea front. Highly recommended

Keshavjung Pandey: Nice room and staff

Anthony Kane: Really enjoyed my recent stay here. Rooms were great as we had 2 dogs with us. Lovely swimming pool, jacuzzi and sauna. Restaurant was very nice and the staff very welcoming and friendly. Excellent service all round and made to feel special for my birthday as brought out strawberry cheesecake decorated with a candle. Very clean hotel.Rooms: Very clean and warm in winter.Nearby activities: Very close to Bournemouth town centre and beach. Plenty of places to eat and drink out.Walkability: Short walk to pier and beach.Food & drinks: Excellent food and drinks.Noteworthy details: Excellent service all round. Especially in the restaurant.

Vanessa Snowdon: We had the pleasure of staying 1 night at the Cumberland Hotel last weekend. From the moment of booking, the service was brilliant. We spoke to Mark on the phone, who was so helpful and friendly, and gave us a warm welcome on arrival. It makes such a difference. Parking is easy, the seafront is spitting distance, and our room was very comfortable and spotless. We had a super balcony overlooking the sea. We enjoyed a drink in the lovely bar before heading out for dinner - we also had the pleasure of meeting the gorgeous Dorothy! Breakfast great the following morning and check out simple and quick. We will have no hesitation in staying here again in the future. Thank you Cumberland Hotel.

James McGuigan: Great place. Beautiful location. Good beer, what more can you ask for.Location: 5/5 …

D D: Stayed at this hotel last weekend for an event. Some rooms are more recently renovated. Ours was not one of those. That said, our room was clean, tidy and serviceable with loads of storage and a huge bed.Towels were a decent size.Food in this hotel was of a good standard as was the service of waiters and other staff, who were helpful and friendly. The beautiful restaurant and cafe is open to non residents.I will happily return to this oasis. Love it. Thanks to all the staff for making our stay fabulously memorable.Special thanks to Chloe for organising our event, she deserves a medal.Noteworthy details: There is only 1 small lift, which broke the morning we left. There are stairs but difficult for people who needed the lift. I don't know what the answer is.

T C: Birthday celebration with friends. Lovely place, great service, but there were maybe 12 customers. Food was above average. I think our food was left standing or prepared too early as luke warm. Reception staff very welcoming and helpful.Having a vinegar bottle not serving pot/jug at table was disappointing. Chairs too low in restaurant, in bar need replacing or repairing as tatty.

Alexandra Rose: the little cakes were bitesize and to be honest weren't amazing. The pastry/ biscuit base was soft and not particularly tasty. The 4 finger sandwiches were on white bread

Amar: Rooms clean and service good. Apart from music banging till 1am with a club on ground floor.Walkability: 5-10 mins walk to the centre

Ken Spencer: Lovely hotel, great bar staff, great location.Dog friendly, but they do charge £20 per night for your dog, I had two tiny toy poodles and got changed and extra £40 per night, so £80 extra for my 2 night stay, plus they charge for the car park £12 per night!!But a nice hotel and good service and food

Violet Davies: Lovely art deco hotel, food was amazing, staff friendlyWalkability: Walked into Bournmouth and back along the seafront path.Food & drinks: The dinner was absolutely perfect each night.

The Mercure Bournemouth Queens Hotel & Spa: what do users think?

Rae Pitman (The15milefoodie): Sunday lunch at Mercure Queens BournemouthWe had four different starters all beautifully cooked followed by a beef roast, generous portions of meat and perfectly cooked fresh vegetables. This hotel is minutes from the beach so follow your lunch with a nice stroll on the prom. Book for Mother’s Day it’s a hidden gem.

Lisa Trowbridge: My partner booked a spa package for myself and my best friend on Wednesday 21st Feb. The hot stone massage was 5 ⭐️ and I would highly recommend! Staff were friendly and accommodating and the afternoon tea was presented beautifully and tasted amazing. Nothing was too trouble. Excellent value for money and would definitely visit again.

alison clements: We signed up for 2 months spa membership over December and January. Although the spa facilities need a little work, the staff cannot do enough to be helpful and kind both on the front desk but especially in the spa. The facilities are good and nice that you dont have to bring a towel. The pool, sauna and jacuzzi are really good. We would recommend anyone to come here.

Elise: Nice hotel ..fantastic food .thank you to the chef ..and a very big thanks to the staff for there warm welcome ....so sweet .Food & drinks: Really nice menu ..and some really good food available ...😋

Louise Walters: I have stayed at the Queens a couple of times because I love the character of the hotel, it's not perfect but it has so much charm, the public areas are lovely and the rooms OK.The staff are always really friendly and the location is great.I'd say it was great value for money.

jimbob: Had a lovely weekend stay here. The evening meal we had in the restaurant was lovely, delicious food at a reasonable price and very well presented.Staff throughout were helpful and friendly.Room was fine , warm and light albeit it could have done with a bit of TLC.Only complaint is there was no information in the room on menus, drinks services etc .Would happily return.😁

Adebayo Ojo: Location: 5/5Hotel highlights Great view

Dave West: I organised a Masonic Ladies Festival weekend for 80 people which was held at the hotel in November, I would highly recommend this hotel as a very good venue for this type of event and very good value for money especially the full weekend 2 night package. On the whole the refurb of the hotel has been very good, I see on other reviews comments about the state of the hotel but I can only say when I have stayed there as well as with the weekend there were no issues, a few bumps and scrapes on the décor here and there but nothing major, rooms etc were perfectly adequate good value and clean and tidy.I can’t say that the whole event went without any issues but as they arose they were quickly dealt with by the responsive team. On the whole the feedback from all who attended was very positive. The events team particularly Courtney and Toni were keen to assist right through the booking process and stepped up contact and actions as the event approached, Courtney was particularly responsive and very helpful with answering questions and organising some last minute changes. The operations team led by Zak were keen to please I must mention Raj and Lolita on reception who were very polite and dealt with any guest “grumbles” quickly and with minimum of fuss.Breakfast and dinner were very good when you take into account it is produced for the “masses” there were times when the staff at Breakfast were a little stretched and tea/coffee ran out but again this was quickly sorted. On the evening of the gala dinner Rita was on point and was quick to remedy any wine orders which were not quite right or in some cases right with people not remembering what they ordered a few hours before! The serving of the food flowed nicely in amongst the toasts and speeches that were given. The bar staff were great but as in other reviews I have to call out Anthony who not only served us very well but kept us royally entertained! An absolute star!So in summary for a Ladies Weekend event you will be safe hands at this hotel, yes not 5 star luxury but good value for money and a very willing team who go the extra mile if you work with them.

Hilton Bournemouth: what do users think?

Marc Citron: Lovely hotel. Had a great upgrade to a suite with inter connecting rooms for the family. Have stayed here many times.Hotel highlights Luxury, Great view, Quiet …

Carla cox: It's was lovely down stairs in the restaurant the steak was lovely the sauce bbq chilli sauce was amazing, great location 10 mins away from the beach. Hotel was lovely except for the beds it hurt my back as it was a wooden base , and the jacuzzi wasn't hot as was in with swimming pool. Breakfast was excellent, upstairs in the sky bar cocktails are very pricey just be careful. We definitely stay here again no doubt . And it Is quite pricey as London prices.Nearby activities: There zip line on the beach was amazing definitely recommended.Walkability: 10 mins walk to beach pierFood & drinks: The quite few bars restaurants near by

office transfers deluxe: Nice place

Hozefa Bayadwala: The room in winter were very cold, talked with reception nothing happened, they did not even send anyone to help out. The thermostat in the room is centrally controlled hence a problem.Limited varieties for breakfast, should have a continental menu as there are a lot of non-UK customers who stay in Hilton as well. It gets busy during the breakfast hours esp. for tea and coffee. The housekeeping and breakfast staff are extremely polite and helpful compared with the reception staff who just seem to send you away from their desk at the soonest.Rooms are clean and have a number of amenities. Overall, a good location, close to multiple, town center, beach and gardens.Rooms: Front up rooms have amazing viewsWalkability: Key things are within walking distance like Bournemouth gardens, beach, shopping areas, bus stops and multiple restaurants
