    Nicole Rose: Absolutely awful. Do not stay here. Manager is rude. Our room wasn't clean. Dirty towels and dirty bathroom. Pubic hair in towels and in bath. When asked manager for a different room I was told to leave. Manager upset my 9 year old too. If you want an awful experience go ahead and book here. Avoid avoid avoid.Rooms: Dirty. You have to pay for a window. Dirty carpets. No telephone or WiFi.

    Katy Rose hatter: It's a good location. The dinner food is not great, my sister had a cheesy potato, it was served in a bowl and there didn't even look to be a potato, it was just yellow cheese. Super plastic-y and when I was asked by the manager, well what did you expect I was a little shocked. The meal was at best lukewarm and the quality was very poor. The rooms are dirty and uncomfortable. The doors don't lock properly and as a woman it makes the experience very unnerving. The bar tender was kind and was apologetic, and I do understand that the manager was under a lot of stress due to the stream of complaints coming her way.     Zahida demetri: My husband booked this online for me and our daughter. My husband had called the hotel the day before to pay as he was using his card. Upon arrival I was told it needed paying, I informed the receptionist that I would call him. I rang him and whilst the call was in loud speaker the receptionist was ver rude about the payment. Infact she said that I could leave.The room was disgusting. The chest if drawers had a draw missing, the mattress was springy, the room smelt of damp, mould in the bathroom, the bath was green, mould on the floor, brown marks of the shower curtain, no soap, no hand towel, one towel between two. The curtains had holes in them, chain in the door was missing made me feel unsafe, lights not working. After advising the receptionist I wanted another room she informed me that they were fully booked. So I decided to check out. Infact another two guests weren't happy and checking out, & a couple we'd seen earlier checked into the Langtray Manor up the road as well.Worst place I've ever been in and I've stayed in hotels all over.There customer service is none existent. I've never had any hotel member of staff talk down to me like they have here.My advice is to avoid this place.

    Alfie Hill: Room needed redecoration the curtains needed to be thrown in the bin . Only one very small wardrobe plenty of space for another wardrobe. Shower very old fashioned and not adjustable had to wash my hair in the sink. A studio was underneath the room and was booked in the evenings for classes with very loud music . The cooked breakfast was cold every morning all self service which led to queues for toast coffee machine etc no clean cups bowls etc.The carpets in lounge need a good clean. Most of the staff were lovely and tried to help.
    Rebecca White: This is a fantastic hotel. The staff are really welcoming and work really hard. The bedrooms are lovely and the atmosphere here is really welcoming. Very close to the beach and in a good location. We have stayed here many times.

    Timmmeh: Great hotel for the BIC or beach.We had room 702 which had its own seperate living room.The room was spacious, clean and quiet.We would stay again if visiting the area or seeing something at the BIC

    L S: Lovely hotel in style of art deco within walking distance of Bournemouth. All the staff were friendly and professional. Dining experience was outstanding with 2 for 1 on mains during the week of our stay. Definitely going back there.

Although described as dog friendly we were unable to sit indoors with her and had to endure a cold period outside with not even a patio heater.The breakfast had to paid for before being seated and opting for the continental was a mistake. Curled up ham and chorizo, no cheese and a couple of pastries was all that was left.When asked why so little choice I was told, we don't put much out in case it gets left, unbelievable!The Cumberland seems far more interested in catering for Ladies Nights and other money spinning events rather than the casual visitor.

    Jethro Holman: This place has clearly not had any decoration or updating in a long while…but there was free parking, a pool/sauna/gym for free, a great breakfast, a clean and tidy room, friendly staff and nothing to complain about. I’d rather stay in a place that needs updating by had everything else than a tacky travel lodge. Super cheap as well
    Thyagaraj sankarapu: Well what can i say, from the moment i arrived with my daughter to the moment we left the lovely welcome and service we received from all staff on site was amazing, for that alone i would give it 5 stars.The breakfast was amazing, cereals fruits and yoghurts and fruit juice, followed by a pot of tea for me and a pot of hot chocolate for my daughter - which she thought was fab and very delicious! thank you :) as their wasn’t many guests as we stayed on a Thursday night, the breakfast was cooked and served to order which was really nice, and more importantly tasted delicious.The rooms were clean and comfortable, in the future if they get enough business ( in this climate i can understand not spending out atm) i would suggest updating the mattresses however that didn’t effect our stay.The bonus for our stay was the leisure facilities after a exhausting day at the beach and a little sun burnt we went down to the leisure centre and had two hours using the pool, jacuzzi, sauna & steam room - my daughter loved it and so did i.Would definitely be coming back to stay in The Elstead Hotel in the future and have been recommending to friends/family.
