Lyn Penfold: museum is great for adults and children alike. It's small enough that children won't get bored, and so well served by its staff that adults will learn something new in every room. The collection is varied and well presented, and with hands on exhibits. You can look through a microscope, touch a variety of stuffed animals like a soft owl, a fox, a hedgehog...The Egyptian exhibits are amazing, the archaeological room is fascinating, the tortoise shell is beautiful. The collection of birds is quite something. What will make me go again is the knowledge and enthusiasm of the people who work there.Definitely not to be missed.

Chris Parker: A fantastic day out for all ages. A real insight and education. FREE ENTRY and bus stop right outsideVisited on Weekday Wait time No wait Reservation recommended No …

Angus Carpenter: I was attending a conference that was being hosted at the Bournemouth Natural Science Society. It is housed in a lovely building and is jam packed with artefacts. Obviously, there was a strong natural history bias in the items on show, but there is something for everyone. The collection is eclectic, while mostly UK based there are New Zealand and Oz species in cases too. Whilst it is an older building, it may not be the most upto date in terms of its layout and services but has bags of character.

There was a pianist there when I visited which really enhanced the atmosphere. The café is good, as is the coffee, and you can visit the café and shop without having to pay to enter.I visited on a wet Winter morning and it was easy to while away 3 hours. If I chose to look at all the artifacts more closely it would have taken longer. The staff and volunteers were friendly and helpful.

Jo Jardine: My children have always enjoyed the lovely science zone and all they can offer, now my son is a teen is getting so much out of their coding ninja sessions!! Coding ninjas is a great opportunity for those interested in Minecraft and the likes, to expand on their coding skills - this will put my son in good stead for his future and no doubt being a programmer of sorts when he’s older. Thank you for the great opportunity.

James Kendall: Been to the sensory rooms a few times with young kids as a rainy day activity and they absolutely love it. Loads of toys, interesting fossils and cool bubble lights. Would recommend!

Amy Berkley: Went to the fizz science session with my 4 and 6 year old daughters and they had a brilliant time! Lots of wow moments and big smiles! They also had a great time after playing in the dinosaur den and sensory rooms. The staff were very helpful and let me store my baby's pram in a side room. It's also breastfeeding friendly. Would definitely go back!

Lise Rossano: Had a wonderful morning with my grandchildren here doing the fizz science session. Very reasonably priced compared with other activities. Jimmy was brilliant with them and everyone had a wonderful time. We then spent a very happy hour afterwards in the sensory and dinosaur rooms downstairs. More people need to support this fantastic local amenity.

Lisa Hadley: Booked as something to do whilst on holiday. Booked onto the fizzy science workshop. My daughter thoroughly enjoyed the workshop and the downstairs area after digging for fossils and having a go in the sensory roomWait time No wait Reservation recommended Yes …

Bex James: We all had a fantastic day yesterday for my daughter's science party! Everything was well organised and the experiments were fun! Kids were glad to get to take their slime home! Thanks guys

Katharine Edgar: Amazing for adults and kids, great for homeschoolers, affordable events, highly recommend especially for cold, wet days.

Becci: Love this place. Very handy on a wet day to keep the kids entertained. Not expensive. Always had fun here.

Anna: We had alot if fun and learnt at the same time, best way to learn about any subject. The scientists were really enthusiastic and made both our workshops a blast. The kids loved the science lab coats, nice touch plus very practical! We did the glow in the dark workshop last year and the fizzy whizz one this year, looking forward to booking another in the next holiday.

Marta Podzina: When my children were younger, we used to visit this place often, they enjoyed the sensory room a lot. My oldest son had his birthday party here twice, one of his friends said it was the best party ever. Kids love the planetarium show, it's quite exciting also for adults.
