The main focus of the museum is to showcase the largest collection of British motorcycles in the world, with over 1000 machines from 170 different manufacturers spanning three centuries.

The museum is located directly on the J6 island of the M42 motorway, directly opposite the NEC near Solihull in the West Midlands.

Visitors can expect to see around 850 British motorcycles on display at any one time throughout the museum's five huge display halls. The collection includes machines dating from 1898 to the latest British superbikes of this century, highlighting the development of the motorcycle and the UK's proud motorcycle manufacturing heritage.

Team National Motorcycle Museum Racing was formed to showcase some of the museum's competition inventory by participating in races, such as the F1 race in the Isle of Man Classic TT. The team aims to demonstrate how the museum's original and iconic race bikes were intended to be used - back on track!

Visitors can reach the museum by following the A45 and looking for highway brown signs near the NEC and Airport. More details on getting to the museum, including information on air, rail, and public transport, can be found on the main getting here and parking page.
