Ikon Gallery is internationally acclaimed and offers free entry to visitors. It is housed in a beautiful Victorian building with versatile spaces that can accommodate events ranging from 10 to 500 guests.

One of the initiatives at Ikon is the development of prisoners' artistic practice through the Marie-Louise von Motesiczky Studio at HMP Grendon. Additionally, the gallery hosts the Ikon Youth Programme which navigates the waterways on board Slow Boat, collaborating with creative thinkers and makers to reimagine it as a local art school.

Ikon has hosted exhibitions such as Epiphany (Temporaire) by Midlands-based artist Exodus Crooks, as well as collaborations with the British Council Collection and macLYON. The gallery also presented works by Birmingham artist and activist Foka Wolf, highlighting important social issues.

Ikon collaborates with Living Well Consortium to raise awareness of mental health and wellbeing topics. They work with Birmingham-born artist Jaskirt Dhaliwal-Boora to explore the benefits of nature on health through photographic portraits in the city's green spaces.

In the future, Ikon will present new work by Midlands-based artist Exodus Crooks at The Exchange, responding to the theme of Artificial Intelligence. The gallery also announced a new leadership team to guide it into its 60th year.
