Somers Wood Caravan Park: what do users think?

Lana Price: Lovely place

stewart price: Beautiful place,I have been twice and 100% be back.Lovely staff ,very well kept .

Keith Nicholls: Enjoying a five day Christmas Lunar Caravan Club Rally at this site

Hayloft Charing: We have stayed at this site a number of times, great site, convenient, secluded, immaculately clean and tidy , friendly helpful staff. Highly recommend

Darren Edwards: We used to stay at this site alot 4 years ago with our caravan. C19 changed all that....Step forward to Nov 2023, we now have a motorhome, the site is still as lovely and quiet as we remembered. Lovely dog walks, quiet and secure park, lovely staff. The downs?....Wifi speed is poor by todays standards. I sometimes use Friday/Monday as a 'work from home' long weekend, but I would struggle here! TV reception with a 'standard' roof aerial is POOR! You need a freesat connection or setup to receive anything decent!Staying under the tree canopy is a MISTAKE in heavy rain/Autumn. Unless you love leaves or heavy water droplets! Occasional jet noise from local airport.Nearby Golf course is a bonus if that's your bag. Nice dog walks around the site. Nearest pub not really in 'walking' distance.

Sharon Foxon: We stayed here for a weekend and loved it. The lady on reception was lovely and very easy to talk to. The toilet block was very clean and the showers hot. The pitch was a fully serviced pitch, a lovely size too. The whole site was well kept and I couldn't fault it.The village of Meridan was about a 20min walk along the road where we found shops, take aways and 3 or 4 pubs. We ate at the Strawberry Bank and really enjoyed that too. All in all the whole experience was fab and we will be returning.

David Palmer: We use somers Wood quite a few times a year its great for us they are alway happy to help with gear access to the NEC.

Andy Wish: Great site. Highly recommended. Went to UK Vintage Drum Show on Saturday, Vince Dunn Bi Band Absolutely fabulous. See you on 6th Jan at The Buttermarket Shrewsbury for the Make-A-Wish Music Festival.

Simon Power: . Used it as a base for the NEC which was really easy to access from the site. Lovely local village with good pub and food. Only downside was distant road noise from M42 and flights from Birmingham airport, but earplugs on a night sorted that.

Rob Newton: The site seems very well run with good facilities. The site is clean and the toilet/ shower block has been recently renewed with very good facilities, music playing, lovely hot showers etc. Warden on reception and security pass coded barrier at entrance. We booked this site as it is only 10minutes from the NEC for an exhibition, so with regards access from the motorway network and the city it is ideally situated. But with this comes some traffic noise and also noise from planes taking off from Birmingham airport. So the plus points can also be the negative points depending on your priorities. Nothing wrong with the site in the woods and next to a 27 hole golf course with cafe / Clubhouse open to non members and fishing ponds near but, but be prepared for some noise from roads and airport.

Tara Charles: Nice quite place.Almost silent sometimes.Very clean toilets and showers with a touch of music playing. No issues at all.

Midland Mobile Leisure Services Limited: Lovely campsite

Dave Barr: Lovely site, absolutely spotless, will definitely be going back.Easily accessed from M42 & M6The site is a credit to all who work there!

James Allen (Jimbob): Stayed here for a few weeks whilst sorting some family stuff in Coventry. Nice and relaxing, not too far from anything, and nice and quiet.

Jollypike H: Somers Wood was is a wonderful gem of a site based in woodland. It’s well kept, clean, tidy and very peaceful. It’s adult only I’m afraid but I guess this appeals to a proportion of the clients staying. The crockery and laundry area is spacious and the toilets are hotel grade! Having overseen a washroom refit at work I know they must’ve spent a lot money on the toilets. The clever thoughtful touches go on including lovely pictures dotted around the washing and toilet building and music in the toilets. On arrival the site supplies a very good leaflet with lots of useful information.Oh and the staff are very friendly and helpful. The village of Meriden has quite a few good shops and takeaways and is an easy short walk away - I carried some chips back from the chippy on our first evening there.Kenilworth, Leamington, Warwick, Coventry and Birmingham are all close by - we popped into our favourite Leamington Cafe at The Neighbourhood one day. Some people commented that the road noise is high. We didn’t experience that. We were sited as near to the road as it’s possible to be and it was much quieter than where we used to live - in that case the main road was much further away but sounded much louder than Somers Wood!

dawn barker: Lovely site well maintained and peaceful.Shower block kept spotlessly clean. Our thanks to the lovely Louise site warden for all her help and advice when we were having a problem with our electrics. We look forward to a return visit.
