Lauren Dalzell: The Christmas Experience was amazing! Absolutely loved Mrs Claus’ kitchen, very attentive and quick service. They were very cautious of allergies, Mrs Claus even brought out the packet of the gingerbread men so we could ensure it was safe for the wee one with a milk allergy. Santa’s sweet shop was also great for allergies too, very well labelled and suggested the best things that didn’t contain any milk once made aware of the allergy. It really put us at ease to enjoy the rest of the experience, as the wee one was able to enjoy it equally as others, most places are not as accommodating for allergies when it comes to special events. Cannot wait for next year!

Cave Hill Country Park: what do users think?

Taofeek Aremu: It was pretty much fun climbing up the hill, stressful but it was an exercise to stretch the body and the legs. It was an adventure I will love doing again, the view up the cliff was amazing and everyone was helpful to each other if you lost the way climbing up or climbing down the hill.Dog-friendliness: It is suitable for dogs to act as a guide and serve as a companion to make the hill worthwhile to climb. Met a fantastic and playful dog named Coral guided us down the cliff with her owner.

REDKN1GHT 19: Great walk to clear the head

Luí O’Brien: This is the best walk in Belfast, in my humble opinion. The parking is convenient, if a little small, but the walk is easy or challenging depending on your mood, there is the most beautiful view of the city from a Norman Fort from the 10th century. And there is a farm settlement from the 4th century. And a small waterfall. And if you can find them, there are some amazing caves.

Peshdad Ibrahim: Restrooms: Wow just wow I wish it was not rainy

Black Fated: Beautiful viewsGreat park to hike up, very quick to go up.Picnic area: At the very top it’s very nice to have a picnic and overlook Belfast and the Belfast Lough

Kyle Rowntree: Cave Hill Country Park, a natural gem on the outskirts of Belfast, is a place of both historical significance and stunning natural beauty. One of its most striking features is Napoleon's Nose, a distinctive rock formation that stands as a sentinel overlooking the city. The hike to the top is a rewarding adventure in itself. The outstanding view from Napoleon's Nose is nothing short of breathtaking. On a clear day, the vista extends far and wide, encompassing the sprawling city of Belfast, the picturesque North Down coastline, and even the rugged landscapes of Scotland in the distance. The sight is a reminder of the interconnectedness of nature and history, as well as the beauty that surrounds us.The trek to Napoleon's Nose is a bit of a physical challenge, with some steep ascents, but the payoff is worth every step. The sense of accomplishment when you reach the summit is second only to the sense of wonder inspired by the view. The iconic basalt cliffs, lush greenery, and the panorama below make this vantage point a photographer's dream.Cave Hill Country Park is a place where nature and history intersect to create a truly unique experience. It's not just a hike; it's a journey through time and geography. For those seeking adventure, natural beauty, and a touch of history, Cave Hill Country Park delivers in spades.

GetWindsurfing Windsurf: Beautiful setting with amazing views. The castle and gardens are great but the best bit for us was the park and trees. You feel so far removed from the city in this spot. A great escape

p bour: A network of trails allows you to exploreFortressthe park and enjoy its sights and sounds, several routes of varying lengths are marked

Daniele Berardi: A must visit in Belfast!

Jen Hanby: and found the zoo to be very quiet. We enjoyed our visit, as others have said there are some areas of the venue that are dated and could do with a little revamp. However there is clear investment at the site with some enclosures having been updated in the 18 months since our last visit. If visiting during quieter times I would suggest checking what cafes are open as we got to the top of the site to find the cafe there was closed but unfortunately we hadn't seen any signs making this clear

Jessica Deeds: Great family day outVisited on Weekday Wait time No wait Reservation recommended No …

Maria: We enjoyed our day out here. Thank u!!

Simon: Nice little zoo. Not one of the best I've been to but not bad. A good variety of animal, some of which have been rescued, and reasonable viewing areas for the kids. However, some of the glass panels could do with a clean or replacing. The cafe has a small selection and is overpriced, plus they don't advertise the pricing, so you don't know what you're letting yourself in for. We went on a day that turned very wet halfway through, which shouldn't be surprising for Northern Ireland, and beware there are very few sheltered areas or indoors enclosures. All in all, I'm glad I visited but won't be in a rush to go back.

Chevi Mas: St Anne's Cathedral is a beautiful example of Gothic architecture in Belfast. Built in the 19th century, this Anglican cathedral is known for its impressive nave and colorful stained glass windows. In addition to being a place of worship, the cathedral also hosts concerts and cultural events. The "metal stick" is the Spiral Tower, a stainless steel structure added in 2007. It is 40 m high and is part of a renovation and expansion project for the cathedral. It serves as a bell tower and also as a viewing point for visitors, offering panoramic views of Belfast and the surrounding area. An example of modern architecture that contrasts with the original Gothic structure of the cathedral.

Then a smaller loop on the inside of the ponds, where there are football pitches and fitness equipment along the walking route. The parking area is fairly big, weekends are really busy. Dogs have to be kept on leads or the park Ranger will get ya.Playground: 5 a side football/basketball and a playground.Restrooms: You have to pay for themPicnic area: Varied around the whole park

Roy Ferris: Good place for walking dogs & children. Outer pathway is firm ground, inner walk can be quite muddy in winter

Ormeau Park: what do users think?

isobella orr: Ormeau park is great for family time! I love bringing my dogs here as there’s so much room for them to run amok. Additionally there is an outdoor gym and a play park. There are lots of squirrels to spot and a bandstand that’s great for picnics in the summer.Playground: PlayRestrooms: ToiletsDog-friendliness: Dog friendlyPicnic area: Very spacious

Sonia Hastings: Just there for laser tag. The building definitely needs updating but does what it needs.

Jan Solciansky: Great park🌳🏞️ Especially Saturday morning 9.30am few hundred park runners get together. Something powerful about it. Keep it up lovely peeps 💕👍🚶🚶🏻‍♀️🏃🏻🏃🏻‍♀️

Erick: Belfasts flagship park, the largest outdoor city venue for gigs and concerts

Maureen Cunningham: Playground: There are 2 playgrounds at Ormeau park. They have both been updated recently and have small fences around them for security.Restrooms: The ladies toilets here are always very clean and well kept.Dog-friendliness: Dogs should be kept on a lead, but because the park is so large there is room for them to run around.Picnic area: There are picnic tables scattered around the park and large tables beside the coffee Dock.

RSPB Belfast's Window on Wildlife: what do users think?

Sean Thompson: A unique experience. Somewhere to bring the kids and get up close with nature even when its raining. Knowledge staff and volunteers are on hand to answer any of your questions and help you spot the different types of birds.

darren mcgarry (Adrenochrome): My Wife and I had a great afternoon at the RSPBs WoW on St Bridget's Day. There was a talk on the origins of this Saint - potentially ranging back into Celtic/pre Christian days. There was also a class in making St Bridget's Reed Crosses. There was also a couple of groups playing traditional acoustic Irish music.Of course there was the in -door viewing area for Bird & Wildlife watching along with several outdoor covered areas.Well worth a visit.

Eve Starritt: Best day out ever

Ciaran McGuigan: Comfortable, welcoming, Informative centre, suitable for all, regardless of their knowledge or experience.

Mark Smyth: If you love birds you'll love here

Ivan Martin: It's a great place to see a wide variety of birds they provide binoculars and telescope so you can see the birds up close they also have good activities for children well worth a visit

Ian Hendry: Staff and volunteers were very helpful, with the area clean and full of information

Alan Fitzsimmons: . A very comfortable bird watching building overlooking a natural fresh water lagoon. Many of the birds will walk on the bank right in front of the panoramic windows where you can sit. Some of the birds may be a bit far away but there are binoculars and spotting scopes to use. Very easy to spend half an hour or longer chilling out while watching nature in front of you, as well as the occasional ferry or cruise ship going past. There’s a little play area for the wee ones, and tea/coffee are available for a small price. Morning/lunchtime is best on sunny days for the light. Recommended for nature lovers, but not for people who want more things to do.
