Kremlin: what do users think?
Bosch 8: We went last night as part of a gay stag. And we were not allowed in, the reason being that it was a stag yet there was other stags and hens, most of which were straight people. We will not be letting this issue go. We felt it was very homophobic and one of the bouncers actually agreed when I said that it felt homophobic. Seriously need to learn how to treat people with the respect and freedom the community fought for years to get. Will not be returning and will be making this ordeal very public to people for the future to stay away from these establishments
BigJim DownTheRoad: Usually like going out on a Saturday to kremlin. how ever the music is starting to change. it use to be good clubland/trance music however none was played last night. I like a variety in music but however I was cringed out last nights music wasnt like the other times. please change the music back to normal. and not a fan of wkd tins. taste dry n different from the bottles . please have a variety thabk you
Natalia M: Best for music and atmosphere
Tara Oates: Straight. Awful. Creepy.
Nathan16 Gourley: was out for my birthday minding my own business with my friends an I went to the smoking erea an was going back to pass the lighter to my friend I slightly touched the Boucher by exident not even knowing an grab me by the shoulder very quickly an threw me outside an bard me alls I could say I’m sorry so many times because I never meant to touch the Boucher there just so egnoret checky an very judgey an I was even that drunk because the vodkas like water 😂I definitely would not recommend this place bombox or liberteenis far better if your looking somewere to party
jose ramon: Buen ambiente
F: No longer a place for LGBTQ community to be safe in.Seeing Kremlin go downhill has been really sad. I've seen it go from the prime place for queer people to Thompson's 2.0. The difference is staggering, I have had no personal issues with the bouncers unlike others here but my issue lies with how this place now is no longer feels safe for LGBTQ people and for AFAB people. Many AFAB people I know used to love Kremlin as it was a place where they could safely go and unwind without the usual club goers in Belfast. The presence of LGBTQ people made it safer for AFABs.Kremlin is now a place for hetero people. As an LGBTQ person I no longer feel this place is for me, Kremlin is a far cry from what it used to be, I have heard people talk about Kremlin even 5+ years ago turning people away if they didn't fit the vibe of the club. Today you won't see that happenin, and it's letting in clientele who are not LGBTQ friendly to one of Belfasts original places for people of the LGBTQ community.I hope to see the day Kremlin can return to form, a day where it's a safe space for people of my community again. Because for now, I feel unsafe in a place in a bar designed for people of my community.
Sean Goodwin: Me and my friend last week got kicked out of Kremlin for absolutely no reason, in my opinion it was discrimination
mdundee: Got kicked out for absolutely no reason told them to check the cameras I don’t insert what I did wrong, joke of a club
Mark Charles: Went with friends. Drinks offers. Great bar staff. Brilliant security and best for me...a dj who plays music you ask for !
Robin Maxwell: the bouncers were so nice. layout is a bit confusing and the dance floor was crowded, but was a good time overall
Alexandra B: Although a gay bar, best nightclub in town to have a dance on NYE :-)
Soph O'connor: Entry fee is an absolute joke. Won't be back again
Dominic McEvoy: If there's anywhere else open I'd go there
Paul O Neill: Door staff will put you out for the smallest of reasons. Take your money and kick you out. Save yourself the hassle and go anywhere else.
charlee: stood at the smoking area in the bar for a few minutes away from my friends to get fresh air, to be approached by one of the female bouncers and ushered out - without any explanation behind why. instead of telling me what i apparently did she whispered to the bouncer on the door and left. stood back in line again and when i arrived back at the door was told i wasn’t allowed in. asked why and the bouncer was incredibly immature and wouldn’t answer me, then blamed it on me cursing at him. spoke to the manager who was the only person who treated me with respect but ended up leaving before i found out what happened. horrible experience, bouncers are extremely snobby. wont be back
Aran Hennessy: The Kremlin is *not* a gay bar/nightclub. Can't believe how much it has changed over the last few years. I could find literally 1 or 2 gay guys there the busiest night of the year. Every single guy I approached was straight. I appreciate it's not lawful to turn away people for being hetrosexual, but Gay nightclubs in England do a lot more to dissuade straight people from entering. Other than that the bouncers were friendly and the music was great.
Matthew Mayne: Overpriced massively and certainly overrated. If you only like chart music, the most basic of club songs, extremely rude regulars and staff then look no further. So much better options out there such as boombox or libertine. In 2022 it's also not a great look to have a statue of Vladmir Lenin out the front, other things stuck in 1917 is the fact they also do not accept card payments on entry - this would be understandable if your drink prices reflected that you are paying no tax, however they will still charge you extortionate prices for anything (nobody pays like queer safe spaces ey?).Honesty by a country mile the WORST club in Belfast if you like queer spaces union street is a much better vibe w very lovely people unlike the ogre staff who work here.I have never been removed from any club except this one. However any time I have been unfortunate enough to be dragged here they seem to always find one reason or another to remove me it's honestly somewhat of a godsend. Last night this was because I was complaining about the club to a friend then getting chucked out because I must have hurt the door staffs feelings (small di*k energy). Anyways that's my rant over but I do advise you go literally anywhere else over here.
Taylor McAllister: As usual, great night at Kremlin, great drinks, music. Staff where lovely, can't wait for another night out here
Thor: Im a fully licensed security / doorman, while at the kremlin with family, i observered very unprofessional security standards, i noticed /witnessed manhandling, i would call assault of patrons enjoying themselves, all it needed was a friendly word in their ear, some are high on steroids and is obviously affecting their ability to do their job to a professional standard. My advice is treat people the way you would treat members of your own family. My advice to any one who has been manhandled assulted by doormen/women is to phone the police and report the assault even the police wouldn't get away with the stuff doormen/women do.
Emma Jane Hughes: Good music

Boombox Belfast: what do users think?
Positive_Vibe_Tribe: Nothing positive about this experience. Shocking behaviour from the idiot doorwomen. Apparently I'm too striaght looking to be allowed in the venue even tho I had a glass of wine in the venue a few hours earlier. I will never go again.
Nolan: Bouncer on the 03/05/23 was on a power trip. They told a girl she’s too drunk when she was too friendly to them. Then proceeds to allow a guy in with a pint glass from a completely different bar in. Door policy is shocking, I get they’re careful who gets let in for people’s safety but majority of us have all been there before. An excuse if “we don’t recognise you” was murmured, which is a pretty dumb way to run a place. Don’t waste your time, go to Libertine or Kremlin instead for a better LGBTQ+ bar.
Paul Bloomer: Brilliant club. Jake and Elaine are fantastic at keeping us all safe, the music is class. Fantastic place for LGBT+ people. This is a queer venue and the staff are dedicated to making this a safe and accepting place for us.
Stephen Donnan: Best bar in Belfast
cathy curley: Great night out. The entertainment is fab with friendly barstaff and the doorstaff are so helpful. Worth calling down!
Peter Roberts: A great club been going here since they opened but some of the security are absolutely horrible and sectarian. One almost kicked me out for wearing a *pride* GAA top on St Patrick’s Day because it “might cause offence”… hmm maybe to you, but certainly not to the entire room who are out celebrating lol. Why make someone pay £5 for entry with no rules stipulated on what you can wear to then attempt to kick them out. Never seen such militant security in my life the bouncer was inspecting what people were wearing on the dance floor with a torch. Ruined my night. Other reviews mention that they only let regulars in which is a bs excuse, some of the bouncers are just horrible and only let in who they want to.
Mason Pollock: A shocking way to run a business. Not allowing people who spent money to get a taxi from a restaurant to visit their bar and be told that as we’re not regulars, we can’t go in. Looks like this happens to a lot of people - why do this? Why not name yourself as a private members bar? It’s discrimination on a wide spread scale, a waste of our time and money and downright rude. You’d have had an extra £200 in your till last night - shame isn’t it?
Reuben Collings: Visiting from England. Recommend this place by some friends. Highly disappointed to be told only regulars allowed in. Especially when the couple after us (who clearly weren’t regulars) are permitted entrance. Won’t be returning.
Terri Reid: I would class myself as a "regular" having went to this bar at least 3 times a month for years!! Loved the place! Told to get in the queue (which had zero people in it at the time)After a minute then refused entry at 11pm last night as it was regulars only. Disclose on social media your criteria for entry. So disappointed.
Sean Kane: I would give 0 stars if I could.
Peter monk: I've never had a bad night in boombox. I'm a straight male but enjoy boombox because I can dance & it's free of agressive cavemen & malignant women ruining the vibe. The music is much better than the Kremlin & drinks aren't too expensive. I also find the door staff to be welcoming and friendly.
Anne McGrath: First time in Belfast on a night out found this place to be a disgrace felt like they don't want straight people on there premises. Door staff and manager of premises very rude when I questioned them to why we were asked to leave the bar , would not recommend this place most definitely won’t be back.
kerry Montgomery: From Scotland came for a weekend out. Arrived at the doors ar Boom Box around 1:15am get refused to be allowed in because me and my friends arent regulars knownly we can't be if we're from Scotland(we told the bouncer that). Very disappointed, with Jake in particular. Definitely won't be back. Ruined my night out!
Charlie Yeooo: Honestly wanted to love it but the club is WAY too warm and the DJ told me they weren't allowed to play any ABBA!! Also they didn't have any poppers... all in all bad management, wouldnt recommend
Anne Lavery: Fantastic place, security staff 👍 very professional and helpful. Especially Elaine
Ryan: So we had people over for a sports event from England and Wales where 80 % class themselves as Gay. We sorted taxis from where we had meal and drinks. Letting our guesses go in 1st two taxisThen when we arrived we are told by staff altho we are not at full capacity but I don't know you so it's regulars only. She said she's worked there 6years and doesn't know my face. I have attended that club and other bars in that area more than I can count on my hands and never had this issue. Disgusting that they said that. So if you don't live close enough to attend Belfast clubs every week then you shouldn't have access to a club if you attend more than an hour after they open even when the act others wanted to see had finished. SHOCKING BEHAVIOUR by door staff on a power trip and terrible experience for ppl/visitors to our beautiful normally friendly country.
Brittany Ledger: This place is so fun we went as a group and had a blast. On the first floor you can hang out and watch the drag queens preform intermittently and on the top floor there's plenty of space to dance.
Patrick McBride: It states that Boombox is a gay bar. It doesn’t seem to be cause I saw in the corner some guy making love to some vulnerable girl. I know that money is tight during 24 months but bouncers should lay down the rules cause tbh it can be distressing watching this. I would say that 75 per cent are straight or maybe bisexual. I don’t care what gender who are but it seems that some girts are completely drunk and scream at spaghetti arms. It doesn’t bother me actually it’s hilarious to watch. I think bags should be checked and if your straight then u should refuse because a straight girl can become obnoxious at door. . Even though measures have relaxed we must still be on guard. Music was great however missed the drag queens. Absolutely phenomenal place for a night out the people are so unique in their own way and no one cares about who you are. I would definitely recommend this establishment. The bouncers are so accommodating including the bar staff look in this life its what u make of it. Elaine and Jake are totally inspiring bouncers whom make u so welcome.
John Daley: The owners are just awful. My nephew worked here and they didn't pay him for the correct hours and since leaving he found out that he wasn't the only one. He also said that they were condescending and thought they were above everyone else. He was too nervous to post a poor review but they deserve nothing less. I only went twice and it pales in comparison to the fabulous Union Street and Kremlin. Will never be back
Audrey Rooney: First time in Belfast on a night out, found this place to be a disgrace felt like they don't want straight people on there premises. Door staff and manager of premises very rude and will bar anyone for absolutely nothing and not even give a reason for barring them.As long as I live I will never give this premises my hard earned cash they ruined my night over my friend sitting on a chair that she shouldn't of sat on.

Libertine: what do users think?
Lucy Kirkwood: Went to a bottomless brunch and it did not disappoint. Emma was our server and our drink was never empty. She was an absolute delight and is worth her weight in gold! The drag queens were on fire. One of the best days out ever! Every person working was loving life as much as the people there partying, the whole vibe was just so fun. Will 100% be back
Robert Heath: Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5More
Cat Norton: 2 for £10 cocktails on st Patrick’s day. Great night and great to have another queer space in Belfast
Victoria Murray: Been alot here great night out brilliant selection of drinks cocktails brilliant service by bar staff and security amazing selectin of music and the shows are also great I would definitely recommend as it's a great spot
Danielle Davison: Great atmosphere, friendly, helpful staff, security staff included! 5*
Lynz T: Fantastic club! Door and bar staff friendly and more than helpful.. safe to be ourselves and just enjoy a good nite!
Sharon Adams: Great club.entertainment excellent..
Daniel Montgomery: Enya and Ronan Seaneen Rebecca have to be the best bar tenders I have ever come across, they where so friendly and accommodating genuinely amazing crew
Adam Cowden: I was in Libertine for some drinks and I really liked the atmosphere and the drag cabaret. I went back to the bar to ask for some cordial in a drink I'd already bought. The bar staff waved the end of a bottle of blackberry Mi Wadi at me and tipped it in. I said thanks and turned to walk away at which point she said "you have to pay for that" and made me tap the card machine. It's just kind of outrageous and stingy that after paying for a drink and not being satisfied with the flavour that I was charged extra on top to correct it.
imad Belo: lovely Club
G Wilson: Staff are stressed. Spoke to one lad who said he hadn’t been given breaks on a long shift and expected to do job of 3 staff members. Shame on Libs!
Aiden at ClubWorldTravel: Great bar in Belfast!!
Explorer Kinda: Went for an event that we bought VIP tickets for. The VIP was an afterthought. It was definitely advertised better than it was executed. Really disappointed.
Jemma Conn: Felt so bad for the young man who was escorted out last night, he paid in bought 2 drinks then was asked to leave as in July he had a very bad fall and broke his kneecap because the floor had just been mopped and no wet floor sign about ,he basically had to learn to walk again and was in his rights to claim as its messed up his life.still this young man has been asked to come back down by other members of staff and then was left humiliated.Libertine preach about no discrimination and its a safe place ,yea right its laughable.my friends and I will not back.Try walking a mile in that young man's shoes!!disgusting behaviourDO BETTER
Lucie Warren: I LOVED LIBERTINE!Saturday 15th I visited the lovely Libertine, this was my first time visiting a gay bar/club and I also went alone which was new to me. I was admittedly a little nervous but I wasn’t for long! The staff, drag performers and the other clubbers were all so kind and fun, this establishment is run really well and I felt safe. I was adopted by different groups through out the night who were so lovely. There is even a photo booth which was so fun! It was my first time experiencing Unisex bathrooms at a club but everyone was so chill about it, I was very glad to have such a normal experience. THE MUSIC WAS ON FIRE! The dj they had that night played some great music and it was so nice to have a mixture of different artists being played. Safe to say I haven’t danced like that in a long time. The drinks were delicious and I LOVED the tarot card themed ones, I tried the Devil and the Lovers, would recommend them! I was definitely be coming back when I next visit Belfast! To anyone who is thinking about visiting, do it!!
Shane Colton: What a brilliant addition to the scene. First time here st the weekend. Could not get over how big and nicely decored the place. The outdoor beer garden is a big 10/10. The 6 others in our group loved and raved about how good this new venue is.
C 82: Went in for the first time during Belfast Pride later in the afternoon. The place was really busy but never had to wait too long to get served at the bar. The Inside is very dark lit by neon pink and purple with a tropical-style beer garden where we stood most of the time. More eclectic music outside including "Africa" by Toto which was cool lol. No attitude and I felt at ease despite feeling I'm a bit older than their normal clientele. Nice to have a new gay venue in Belfast.
Niosa Fennell: Absolutely amazing new gay bar, the decorating is beautiful and the staff are so lovely and high energy, they dance around while taking your drinks and the drag acts are unreal.
poo laa: The Subwoofers here are insane. I’m straight and had a great time, I came here because I heard the sound system is the best in Belfast. If you want to feel the bass punch you in the chest with the force of Mike Tyson, come here. Drinks are a bit inflated though.
Silent Witness: Very loud & invasive to local residents. Delighted to have more gay venues in the city, they're always a great place for a night out. However, Libertine blares music on weekends & some weekdays & crowds of shouty melts disturb local residents that would prefer not to be kept awake by bellends. It doesn't appear club management have taken into account the disturbance to locals their club causes. I wish they would as it sucks.
Linda Trainor: One of the best and cleanest nightclubs about staff are pleasant and always great entertainment!
